I'm currently trying to speed up my arpeggios for Solea, but as you know, the timing for Solea is not a straight 4/4 as you've shown here, but has much more nuance in the tiny pause between bass string and arpeggio. You mentioned the all important 'having your arpeggio fingers in planted and just rolling off', but your excercises are more like classical guitar.

Do you have any lessons on arpeggios that involve legato? That's the most "flamenco" sound.

Wow! That's a great question. I'm actually making a video on that very topic...so stay tuned. Make sure to hit "Subscribe"--if you haven't already--so you can get that video when it comes out. Thanks again!

Hey :) Amazing lesson. Short, but IMPORTANT question :) What would be appropriate metronome goal for these arpeggios to play flamenco style?
@Flamenco4U3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. 100 BPM would be a good goal, and when you feel you’ve got it then bump it up to 160.
@igorperic52323 жыл бұрын
@@Flamenco4U 3 minutes at certain tempo without mistakes (for example 110 bpm 16th notes) and then bump up speed by 1 bpm?
@Flamenco4U3 жыл бұрын
@@igorperic5232 you’ve got it! …but I would go ahead and speed up in larger increments normally (like 5 BPM). 👍

😂 That’s a crack up. I 100% agree. I’m too embarrassed to tell you what camera I was using for this video. This ones a goody, but an oldie for sure! I need to record an updated version. You’ve inspired me. Stay tuned!

This isn't flamenco. Flamenco is full of flavour, with accents and alternating time signatures, and follows only a small group of chords for the basic harmonic structure.
@Flamenco4U Жыл бұрын
Correct. This is arpegio…a technique used within the flamenco style repertoire. If you’re looking for flavor, accents, etc., then check out the other tutorials. Now…respectfully, go pound sand.
