I've been playing almost three years, and have gotten very good at ignoring arpeggios. Thanks for these tips. I sent this to a Nooby friend and recommended your channel as a serious site.

Thank you! Takeaways for me: 1. Successive triads 2. Thumbs on white notes if possible 3. RH thumb on 5th in many cases; LH thumb on root. 4. Classical: start slow with practice, legato in hand (no pedal) 5. For improv practice, focus on RH moving up, in context, maybe with sustain pedal. 6.LH Root-5-Root underneath can add to effect.

Very well presented. I especially appreciate your instruction to focus on three note triads first.

😮(4:34) What's your formula in finding hidden notes within the triad?

If you mean triads in extended chords I have seen this as a subject for jazz horn improvisation tutorials for example.

In most extended chords, you can just look at the 3 top notes! Or to reverse engineer chords with the same top like this, you just keep adding a bass note a 3rd lower.
