So this is the plasmoid's more terrestrial cousin. It seems that consistently being on a world has allowed them to refine their abilities a bit. Though to me it seems that they would suffer greater danger from people mistaking them for mimics or doppelgangers and the like before quickly realizing that it is just a friendly slime. A weak acidic effect is certainly easier to treat objects for than the flames of the local fire genasi. Though it would be funny if the local slime just decided to do something stupid like giving themselves the biggest breasts in the town just for the sake of doing so.

Never played DnD yet I have many friends who do. I’ve told myself that I was going to make a DnD character, then I was going to make a slime. Because cute blob slime girl. Saving this so if I make them

If I ever get the chance. I'd probably play a slime sorcerer (it's the mimic slime you talked about. Though with certain flavoring with the mechanics. Basically the character would have a humanoid form from having absorbed a humanoid. From this the slime effectively copied the memories and certain personality traits of the humanoid. They know they aren't who they absorbed so they chose not to pretend to be that person. They learned 2 cantrips from watching a few people use magic. And how they have a sorcerer bloodline is it was absorbed into the slime. Depending on the dm they might have polymorph as a way to explain how they transform into other things they absorbed)

I have recently come up with two subclasses that I would to run by or suggest to you. First off is a druid subclass based off the contractors from Pandora Hearts and the HIMEs from Mai-Hime with a little bit of Final Fantasy 10 summoner thrown in. These weird druids differ drastically from what people expect druids to be being much more organized, fancy in terms of clothing, and more priest like often coming across as something between a druid and a cleric. To others they seem contradictory as they appear to draw power from two opposing and drastically contrasting forces when in truth those forces are one and the same with it being very close to reality and creation. Mechanically this subclass differs from land or shepard druids by focusing on dedicated summons that they fight beside instead of calling forth leagues of beasts. This could also be a race if you so choose and would pretty much be tailored made for summoning. The other is a paladin subclass based on the dragoons from Scrapped Princess and the Rune Gods from Magic Knight Rayearth. When evil started scheming and endless hordes where being crafted the forces of good responded with their own machinations. Contrary to what the rest of existence believes the forces of good has not been sitting idle or senselessly bickering while evil fights itself in the trap known as the blood war and now their plans, protocols, and backups extend throughout time, space, and other realms and are continuously growing and being added upon so that during the fated final clash all existence may be protected and good prevails. As a member of this subclass you are a crucial part of this grand plan and though what you are called to do may seem random and incomprehensible to others it is so that all may be safeguarded during existence's final moments. I hope you find these suggestions interesting.

Kiiiinda busted. Would really need to work on some of these racial abilities. An extra d8 every turn or unarmed+con is going to get *goofy*. Perfect mimicry while copying class features, spells, and skills as a *racial* feature is a big no-go as well. There is just too much going on here for a race option in 5e. If you made this a Paizo race though, it'd fit just fine.

You do only get the 1d8 once per turn, but I can see how that would stack up, but its nothing crazy. as the the copycat, you don't get to pick anything that is class specific, just things that multiple classes get, plus if you wanted a fighting style or the spell, you don't get to pick anything else, and the spell is a once per day. As for the others , which you get two of, they are just proficiencies, or a single cantrip, and if you take them you can't take either a fighting style of spell.
