When raiding a vampire lair, a Dragonborn Barbarian-Cleric used Etherealness to walk 50ft above the vampire and upon returning to the material plane, fall on them a la Sephiroth-Aerith with a greatsword, adding his calculated fall damage to the sword attack. I won't lie, I was hoping that this would provide a more history-grounded homebrew race. Oni are often portrayed as refined and nimble in anime, which is a much more sleek reimagining of how they existed in their stories, which more closely portrayed them as ogres or trolls with some limited magic. This video seems to draw inspiration exclusively from anime oni characters than the actual yokai themselves, which isn't inherently a bad thing, but I personally find it disappointing that the actual monsters of legend have been slimmed down into conventionally attractive humans with technicolor skin and short, aesthetically pleasing horns. Oni aren't a race of hot ninjas, ya know?

I feel like this class could take inspiration from part 7's Tusk, and Part 4's Echo/Reverb's Acts.

Pretty obscure character, but funnily enough this whole concept matches perfectly with the character 'Krona' from the webcomic GrrlPower. Would definitely want to use this subclass if I wanted to replicate her as a D&D build.

They also disposed of the original love domain unearthed arcana and you can only really read what was made for it from one of nerd immersions old videos on it from when he could even get footage of it still. And now for why it wounded me. Why I was deeply wounded is because I love love, I love the concept of love and all of love’s forms. They abandoned “love” as a domain for “peace” and it made me sad. Love is like a warm hearth, protecting and nourishing allies. I feel like if there was a love domain to be officially printed her made, it is less about charming and more about the aforementioned with some options for wisdom modifier application to some charisma skills, like using compassion or empathy to appeal to someone’s better nature for a persuasion check Y’know?

New to D&D & will be a DM for my friends here soon. I'm going to have my friends decide on whether artificers belong to the world that we will create as we play. Im basically taking anything from a fantasy world that I like and implementing it into this world. Like forgotten or abandoned underground cities full of automatons that lead into the underdark (like the Dwemer Ruins of Elder Scrolls) and I'll probably the Artificers come from scholars and wizards who begin to study these ruins and the mysterious race that left them. -- Think I'm going to use the Vedalken as the original artificers who disappeared or make them the original elves who are now Astral Elves, unable to set foot out of the Astral Sea or something. idk. Really like the idea of Artificers just don't know if they will have a place in this high fantasy realm. Still working on how to make it work lol

I've been trying to make one but the fact that find familiar has a GP material cost and takes 10 minutes+ is really making things difficult. Like, to randomly equip charcoal in hand and start doing a ritual just to contact your familiar? That messes with the theme. Also the idea that you can only really use decent spells twice is also a bummer.

really love it but i just want to say a small thing about erza because she stores armores both in a game like inventory and her arpartment floor her inventory has a limit and the ones she doesnt uses often enough are stored in the arpartment
