When the PS4 first came out I played this game pretty much exclusively and enjoyed it so much I didn't actually buy a game for the PS4 for over a year. Tried it again a while later on pc, but it didn't run well at the time for me. I didn't realize the servers shut down.

That's sweet! Yeah I find it extremely frustrating when you buy a game and then some time afterwards, the main server gets shut down and you can no longer play the game... that you paid for... I have definitely experienced that with other games.

This was technically a free to play game, it's lifespan had to come to end eventually. but I'm glad it was revived so those who still want to actually play the game at least have the option to now. I hope more online dedicated games eventually come to a peaceful end, but at least release a server kit for the community to take over.

Oh man, this is so good. I was remembering what I played on PS4 a couple years ago and thought of this game, but when I looked it up on steam it didn't show up, so I went to the wiki page to see if anything new happened and found out it was shut down on PC, and since I don't own a PS4 anymore I was disappointed, but this is a new hope.

Somethings going on the last two days I can't get past the join join server button. I push start bot match and the black box just sits for a minute then closes. Same if I try to join any server.

Its beyond my comprehension that these studios will spend years developing a game, then they could just keep the servers up by keeping a little host running with the server on it, but they choose to simply remove it altogether, then they don't allow people to run their own servers, Total War Arena could be still quite popular and creating enough revenue to keep a server running, but they just unplugged it, sold it to China that turned it into a crappy p2w moba game.
