One thing that can boost the score is not pressing bingo right away and saving the 2X until the end so that every bingo score gets doubled.

It won't let me play. All it lets me do is read the tutorials

That’s really weird. I just opened mine and the app is working. I think the first time you play it does make you go through a tutorial game to make sure you know how to play and then after that it should let you play the regular game.
