I have been checking and trying different pedagogic ways of learning how to improve my playing for many years. I saw, heard and tried out a hell of a lot of stuff and I can tell you something: you are a great Teacher (capital "T")

Dayum dude! You're feeling it today! That opening sequence was laid back and low down! Sign me up!

Blues for me has always been about subtle and yet so effective playing! This kind of playing definitely shows that for showing justice to the genre! Awesome lesson here!

There's some super examples of creating tension and release for the listener using anticipation as a tension builder. Sometimes silence is golden. Great lesson.

I like the concept you portray in this video! That being said, this was more about varying your phrasing than "playing behind the beat".

Watched all five videos and they are indeed informative and interesting. I still watch a lot of KZbin videos just out of pure interest. The guitar is for me just a hobby started when I retired. Keps my brain working. Music theory and so, how to build chords and scales keeps me on my toes. So to be honest, I wish that I started when I was 20 years younger. Thanks for all.

I really like this technique David...I really want to add this in my playing cause I wanted to find how I play by being creative and damn this really help haha...rather than sticking on the beat all the time(well its good to stick to it cause it's more grounded on the rhythm)

Great! This was really good. I just would like a little more playing and sampling, but the concept is very well explained. Congratulations!

Hi David, I sent you that email asking for a payment plan for PayPal. I couldn't help it, so I bought the courses after all. Financially, this month is going to be very difficult, but at least I'll be one step closer to having the blues in my heart!

Ever wonder if the one “ dislike thumbs-down “ you always seem to get for every video you make, no matter what the subject, is some old girlfriend in Paris who is still mad at you?
