This is awesome and is exactly how I've been playing my BM hunter against melee cleaves as well, at least when I win. When I beat melee cleaves, it's because I was kiting like crazy, only disengaging after death grips and/or roots have gone out, root-trapping corners to funnel them into roots, and even using a freezing trap on one of the melee in desperate situations. Hunter has mobility, but not infinite mobility, and a good melee cleave can rip me to shreds if I'm ever caught without a defensive and not kiting.

Agreed. I just hit 2393 and I find caster lobbies massively harder than melee lobbies.

so basically you are not using your burst 100% efficiently. You should stay max range pop trees, incarn, cast 2-3 wraths (with nature's grace), then spam starsurges. All spells and explosions will hit at the same time (travel time difference) and KO someone. Start from stealth from 45 yards, away, don't bother rake-stun cloning. If they are near you the above burst sequence is ineffective. You need max range for this to KO someone.

Lol he has been rank 1 many consecutive seasons playing at the highest level. Your strat is a low elo strat that will work on unaware people.
