I don’t think the problem is forcing threes I think it’s more wanting to score all the points

Great video I love watching a Center who actually rolls early through sides defense. It’s so simple but a lot of centers don’t get it they think they have to catch a body to roll

I appreciate this video very much but nobody’s made a video as to where centers should position themselves in 5V5 games Besides the pick and roll with people you know just wear to be in general without clogging the lanes because I find it very difficult and I see a lot of other people find it very difficult. I have a shooting center as well as a non-shooting center. It’s the positioning that I’m having the most trouble with without clogging the lanes while still being able to grab the rebound can you please make a video on this!
@Dimework2 жыл бұрын
The way I see it, if you aren’t running a pick and roll offense it’s pretty simple…you just want to be out of the way. Space the floor and open the paint up for your scorers. Nothing makes the game easier than having a shooting big man who can open up drive opportunities. I say just spot up in the corner or wing and let your guards go to work. Most bigs love to help on the drives so you will find yourself being open a lot. It’s on your ball handlers to find you for open looks.
@Dimework2 жыл бұрын
If you’re on a non shooting big, you pretty much have to be making some effort to help your guys get open. It’s either off ball screens or screening for the ball handler…because otherwise you’re just going to clog the driving lanes by being in the paint. If you’re dominant in the post you can try to convince them to allow you to eat, but 9/10 people seem to have an issue with that. But being a post threat can also open up shot opportunities when people try to help.

Lol you’re very well spoken and funny but yeah this is different in the park that it would be in any other situation so I would love for you to make another video 5 on five situation
@Dimework2 жыл бұрын
I appreciate that! I think generally the same concepts apply, the only difference is there is more help defenders in a 5v5 situation. So when it comes to Rec/Pro Am it’s more so about being able to read rotations and predict where the help is coming from. Most teams run a set rotation…once you figure that out it’s all about playing the mind games. Sometime your PG will have to make the read, other times teams are going to make the C make the read off the roll pass.
