Conquian is awesome. I guess there’s different ways to play. Here’s 5 things I do differently. Try it like this, this is how we play in Mexico 1. can play with 2-4 players 2. Play with 7 to win with 8 or play with 8 to win with 9 3. Before first card draw, each player has to switch 1 card with opponent(s). The card must be given face down and the opponent can not see it until he/she gives their card 4. If drawn cards run out you can reshuffle. There is no ties 5. First draw card can be taken from top OR bottom of deck. Only first draw card though
@dmalv5 жыл бұрын
ricco231 same only thing I do different is have ties
@skept2144 жыл бұрын
We play the same way but with an addition. The move is called "me cierro" . This move is used when you know you can't win. On your turn to draw, you keep the drawn card without showing it but are now out of the game. It's like a insurance policy when you play for money. Since there is no ties in the game you have a higher chance of winning next game and doubling the cash pot.
@Angel-qi4py4 жыл бұрын
ricco231 we play the same but with 9 and win with 10, and for some reason i was taught that max 3 players can play (maybe because the amount of cards for each person isn’t enough to have more people)
@sebastianxix28954 жыл бұрын
Same the way I’ve been playing since a little morrito. I play with 8 win with 9 and we call it “cambio” where you give a card faced down to the right and can only pick up the “cambio” given to you after you give away your card. We play a little different due to money being involved. If the game is $1 dollar to play and someone drops (plays) a set of Kings or Aces another dollar is added to the game so if player 1 plays Aces the game turns to a $2 game and the winner will get $2 dollars from each player. If Kings And Aces are both being played during the round the game now turns to a $3 dollar game. If there happens to be a tie during a round the next round will count double what ever the first round was. So if the round 1 was $2 to play and there happens to be a tie. The next round will be $4 to play and if you refuse to play what ever money is in the middle cannot be taken out so either you win that money or you lose it.

We do 9 cards, win with 10 when it’s 1-3 players & less when it’s more players (1-5) so there’s enough cards! 🃏 We do a blind switch of a card with the player to your right before the game starts & you win double the wager if you can get A23 in your game! We call it “Ganar con viejo” idk why lol 😂

A couple of them would pause to dance with their ladies then get back to the game.

0:29 - to best mimic the Spanish card system, one might consider removing the 8's, 9's, and Q's. The Spanish cards are : 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 10 11 (J) & 12 (K). Up to the individual, of course. Happy playing!
@asmrjackunboxinggames43284 жыл бұрын
We play it with the cards from 1-10 instead of 1-7,J,Q,K. Just to make the game less confusing in making sequence. In using a Spanish Deck we only remove the Horse and the King instead of removing 8&9.

Other than that you are spot on. 👍...another thing we do is if you are able to meld A23 or 123...you win double of what ever you are betting on. Could be 2kicks on the ass, 2 kisses, or 2 beers.🤪😂😂😂

Can you please make a video of conquian strategies?
@rodrigoochoa14214 жыл бұрын
We play this a lot in Central America, the strategies are the following: 1- Arrange the cards in your hand before you start playing. Make the groups of melded and potential melded cards and have in mind the cards you need. 2- This guy sets down all the melded cards at once. Don’t do that.. Just put down the set you just put together. If you put down all the melded cards, an opponent can force a card into your pile and destroy your potential game in hand. Also it makes it easier to your opponents to decide what cards to put together since they know which cards they can’t count on since you have them already. 3- When arranging the cards in your hand, try to have 3 groups of melded/potential melded cards... if you can only make 2 sets, i do not recommend that they both are groups of “three or four of a kind”. This is because the maximum amount of melded cards will be 8. A “straight” type of set can bring in more cards. 4- Whenever i have more than 3 melded cards in hand, I still only bring 3 cards down and keep the other one in my hand to prevent the opponents to know what cards are not available to count on.

Why would player 2 discard the ace of♠️ if he could meld it with the 2,3,4,5 of♠️?I don’t understand that.
@jovanisantana68022 жыл бұрын
Melding the Ace would limit his ways of winning. since its impossible to draw another King. Player two can now only win by drawing Both the 6 and 7 of ♠️. where as before all he needed was either a 2 OR 5 of ♦️.

bullshit! I am HONDURAN and we play with 7 cards on hand to make 9. Make same suit down or up like 7,8,9, or 9,8,7. or make pairs with same numbers like 4,4,4, or 9,9,9,. jacks, queen , and kings are played as 10,11,12. in pairs or suit. The ace can be a wild card, only if everyone agrees to the terms beforehand. But the ace can only be used as a wild card as a one or over the King. That is my Honduran way to play. Now the rules have changed here in America, but the game is so fun.

Wow, turns out we play this game MUCH differently. Each deck uses all 56 cards, and each player is delt 14 cards. Players cannot being freely melding cards until they create enough pairings that equal to a score of (at least) 51 (2-9 cards give their respective amounts of points, while Aces, 10's, and all royal cards equate to 10 points). Once a player can meld enough for a score of 51, they can start to meld and add cards freely. The player can choose whether they want to discard their drawn card, or any other card they don't need. The game is won when a player uses up all their cards. The rule of needing to have at least 11 melded cards placed does not apply, but by the time you finish you will have most likely melded much more than 11 cards. Again, wildly different, but incredibly fun. It's like old-school uno!!! Forgot to mention: We also use Joker cards for a "stand in" for any cards we want to make a melding with. The trade-off is that if your opponent has the card your Joker is standing in for, they can replace the Joker with the actual card, allowing for them to use the Joker as they want.

He didn’t show how to do cuts with your hand 1)If your hand has a sequence and you put it down let’s say you have a 3,4,5 of spades and you have two other 5’s in your hand if you draw a 2 of spades you can put it in the sequence and take out the 5 that was in sequence and pair it with the other two 5’s 2)now let’s say you had the same sequence as before but this time wit only one other 5 in your hand, if you were to draw a 2 of spades you can put it in your sequence but you have to throw a card out and you keep playing until another 5 pops up and you can use the 5 in the sequence the 5 you drew and the 5 you have in your hand to make a pair of 3 Note: keep in mind the cuts you can make with the cards in your hand and the cards that you have laid down but make sure if you make a cut that you still have a card so that it’s still got 3 cards in the sequence/pair
