I didn't know people actually hire dholki players. At our weddings we usually cross our fingers hoping there is is someone who plays. And usually it's me. 😜 my hands usually hurt for a week after. Can you do a slower demonstration of how you snap your fi fingers on the treble side? You are so inspiring. I love how you love what you do

@@REENAKAUR-OFFICIAL trust me, honestly i was learning how to play dholki from youtube and your video popped up and the way you got so happy while playing, i could see how much in love you are with the instrument, the song, the language and your grandma (as u mentioned she used to play and sing the song) it made me smile and enjoy with you though i didn't understand a word u sang. But i could relate to that feeling coz my sis and i just get so happy singing Gujarati and kutchi garbas. Also, really love how you so connected to your roots despite being living so far. Hi Reena, what is the difference between dholki and dholak? Online the measurements of a dholki are smaller than a dholak...which one do you use for sangeets? Thank you for your videos, they are really useful xx
