I have never seen anybody sitting so relaxed in front of his drums... :) And also the position of the toms is quite unusual! Like it!

I play guitar but want to give a shot at the drums too. I don't have a drum set for now, only watching videos on youtube to see what it takes to get it started. I must say you sir are amazing! So far the best teacher I have come across on the net. I love the way you explain but also make it so simple for anyone to understand. And the way you play seems so graceful, looks like an art masterpiece, the way music should be. I could use your help on choosing a drum kit, but it must be an e-drum kit unfortunately i need to keep noise levels at a low. Could you please direct me and give advice on which brand/kit i should buy. Nothing overly expensive, but also something I won't outgrow in 1 year, and something that sounds good(if there is such a thing) Thank you so much and keep up with the amazing work. Merry Christmas !

I noticed that you do quarter notes on the high hat with your left hand and 2 and 4 backbeats with the right hand, but you use a traditional right handed approach on the ride cymbal and snare. Are you a natural lefty or did you learn to play the high hat left handed for economy of movement? Was it hard to learn?
@E7MusicSchool4 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert! Great question! I am left handed. I chose to learn lefty, AND right in order to not be limited when needing to play on the ride cymbal. PLUS many fills need to be right hand lead, so it was best for me to learn both ways instead of having the drums set up backwards. It took a LOT of practice to get it down. Are you left handed? If you would like help with email me at Jeremy@thedrumprofessor.com I'd love to chat with you!

"Now listen, then I'll play it and we're good". You make me smile everytime you say that in your videos...Sounds like it's easy ;-) Since I'm a beginner, I need a little more practice than that :-) I need to be faster...

Very new to drumming and dont get alot of time to practise. But your videos are really helpful! Started on this video last night. Working on the 2nd groove.. I keep hitting the ride the same time as the double bass. Taking this at a slow pace to try and tell my brain not to hit when my foot hit. Do you have any other tips at all? Keep up the great work!
@E7MusicSchool7 жыл бұрын
thanks!... best advice is follow how I break it down in the video, and take it slow, break down the specific part you are adding your foot in.

Good narrative, but my brain cannot follow a right hand set up for what appears to be (at times) a left handed approach. Anybody else get dizzy trying to visualize while watching?
