"Everything You Want" was one of my favorite songs in 1999... I was in my early 20s, popular song with that age of kids back then. Still love it and have it on the original 21 year old CD that I often listen to when I drive in my 2001 Toyota car. lol. I really liked the version performed at Woodstock in 1999. Also some others in there from the era such as New Radicals, Jennifer Paige, Bryan Duncan, etc.

Woodstock 99 was a class on its own.. Korn, Metallica. Limp Bizkit, Kid rock.. etch..... it was the best

Thanks for the tutorial Matt, I’m going to have to try the part with hammering on chords. I’ve done that with single notes but not chords as a relatively new player. 😅

Besides the use of tech for the sound in the intro, the fact that the intro looks easy makes me want to pick up a guitar and actually playing. Thanks Matt, you guys really make great music

I think “Everything You Want” is a great song and it came out back in 1999 when I was between sixteen and seventeen and I was a junior at the Henderson County High School during my 1999-2000 school year.

MANY TY FOR EMPAHISIZING THE "HAMMER" while playing this song, ever since this song and your album was released I've been playing this song and I know I'm doing it right but it doesn't sound the same... thank you for sharing this... not soo many Artist is kind enough to share their song and teach us how to play it properly!!! in my own analogy.. it can be sang in Jesus point of you or in Lover's point of view... this song really hits me.. I had loved this girl for a long a time.. I know I am everything she wants, everything she needs.. but I mean nothing nothing to her and I don't know why??? pls be safe.. your one of my gods....

I believe it is a Cadd2 but either work ; ) i feel bad for the beginners wanting to learn this from this tutorial cause little things like that would be REALLY confusing by just sayin C while looking like a G formation.

All great and good but the end was disappointing since I was expecting him to sing at least a little bit. We’ve heard the recordings many time by now. Even the regular people who upload their own videos playing covers or teaching how to play a certain song, usually sing a little.
