i am a proud owner of a secondaries Richelieu and it's amazing, many times when you want to get away from dds you can shoo them away when using Manual Fire for secondaries.What I do is charginig in in the last 10 minutes and profit

Simple effective ship. Run it like a living sitting TURRET GUN. RUN everything range. Tighten dispersion and add damage. Get the range up. Then Sit and shoot. Back up or move barely at 1/4. Use speed to engage or support last half of battle or as needed where help or support is required. Keep nose just around rocks to be a plug. Greeeeeat ship. Won’t even need secondaries much until the end maybe

When I first got the Riche, i was having fantastic games in it, high dmg hits against Cruisers and BBs. Then all of a sudden i haven't been able to get over a consistent 5k dmg/ salvo. I've shot at cruisers and watched the shell enter their citadel, but get an OP. I've ended up in brawl range of broadside BB;s and get horrible damage, but when i shoot at an angled BB, i'll take out a nice 10k dmg chunk. I can't figure out if they were adapted after the British update, or if i just ended up unintentionally changing my playstyle and french BB's.... It's very frustrating, because i'm a Cruiser player. I have horrible luck with BB's, but the French line was a great line, that i fell in love with, and i feel like it just suddenly took a 380mm dump on my chest.

I don't personally have the Richelieu, but I have the Dunkerque(on paper it sucks, but it is super fun in game) and I love it and play it a ton. I assume the ships are pretty similar. The playstyle that I use with the Dunkerque is isolating 1v1s with ships at mid range and point your bow at their guns(preferably not of caliber to overmatch your 26mm plating) by using islands. But the issue with that is I had this one game earlier today where I got uptiered and there was a Gniesenau just holding me behind an island(her guns can overmatch I think) which really limited my options.

I agree that a bow camping Richie may not have much use for a secondary build. I do that too with my Richie often whenever I take her out, so it makes sense. However, I prefer a more active play style of utilizing the Speed Boost and doing a drive by. Those secondaries can really go "PEW PEW PEW" in such situation. On top of that, she's so defenseless when something pops up behind her... so the secondaries can be a help by going "Dakka Dakka Dakka" at the offending ship. I have no regret for going for the secondary build with mine. x] ADDED: Boo~ Eagles... Go Sharks! xD

Took me a while to learn how to play this ship, after playing with the Lyon and then going to this one it's a process so different of how to engage targets that I was so freaking glad of finish the grind to get the Alsace, it's not a bad ship at all the richelieu it just have a little more of a curve to get use it.

I went with a hybrid AA/survival build and her secondaries really shine on the drive-by when you're showing aft to the enemy. I play her more like a brawler so get in close to mitigate her French sigma and break off to allow the secondaries to get in some work. Lyon and Riche are definitely my favorites of the line. Poor Alsace -- too good to live, lol.

The reason I like the dynamic sights is because it compensates or takes into account shell velocity and other factors. If it says, 5 seconds to target, I use the number 5 and so on, it just seems to simply work and I don't have to compensate (except for dd's of course). But if I had played for 3 years using static, lol, I'm sure I would not do well to switch. I changed while I was still more newbier. ;)

Nice replay. One thing I discovered is that the guns where more accurate when I fitted secondary mod instead of the accuracy mod.! I had bad dispersion at the start, but I got it up to 30% after a while :)

I guess best tactic is to just go bow in and hope you don't lose both turrets. I'm still on t7 but could finish that grind quickly. Do you think a hit to the turret face should only destroy half a turret for these ships and a hit to the barbette destroying the whole turret mechanism is a more fair mechanic for these?

Question: Do anyone else sometimes park right next to an island sometimes with only the bow sticking out against enemy ships? Sometimes when I played her I covered my broadside by putting an island between the ships I’m shooting at. Is that a bad habit?

Probably my favourite ship in the game once i found the right way of playing her , super mobile and super aggressive , probably the only t8 I'm happy to be bottom tier in , eventually got the Alsace and hated every minute of it to the point it was the most free XP i had ever spent to get out of a ship

Strange, I think most people had quite an enjoyable experience in the Alsace, granted I can understand the 15 inch guns getting a bit worn at tier IX and the sigma getting nerfed might sour the experience a bit.

Richlieu is a better ship Wgat u prefer? 100% firepower at the front or 50-50

Bismarck is still overall a more better ship to my preference .The turtleback armor scheme makes her near impossible to citadel , You can heal a lot more than most other ships.You get sonar for finding torpedoes and ships hidden which is a very useful tool. The gun layout of Bismarck also technically makes her have no blindspot that she can't bring her main firepower to bear

Only mods in this video are skins for blast bags on the Iowa, Montana and New Orleans. Crosshair is in game static #9. Everything else in the UI is in the options.

I run main arm mod 1, damage con 1, aiming mod, damage con 2, and conceal mod 1. Mostly focused on survivability with my captain and stealth. I do ok. Not meta but I'm alright if I can get into a good position.

You pretty much traded away 2 quadruple turrets which is a lot of firepower . For the better armor , speed , gun position and the overall nicer look
