Don’t do this for a wii. In certain games the wii can collect as much as 4gb of info at one time, it’s a very quick way to corrupt your storage device. Use a HDD or 3D NAND for the wii. I broke a couple wii doing this and don’t want to see others make the same mistakes. Skyward sword in particular is going to corrupt your SD quickly with its nearly 5gb file size spread over 2 ISO. This far exceeds the abilities of anything but SSD.

@@avisprimey this is true, but it’s a very messy solution. One or two games is fine, but there’s roughly 90 decent wii games worth playing. 90 files with 4-5 folders each that have to be kept in the same order and cannot be renamed is a messy looking SD card. An old laptop HDD and a $10 USB adapter is a much better solution long term.

@@benemery1644 you really want to replace your card every 36hrs? Bruh simply going from one large game to another can corrupt it. Load skyward sword and Mario galaxy 2 only onto your SD. Play each one for an hour and switch. You’ll see what I mean. And on that note, spindle HDD are literally so cheap they’re garbage. You can harvest one out of a dead laptop for $0.

Curious for SD card or micro SD card is there a gb limit? I do have Swiss but that's at .02 along with a modchip. It lets me play burned dvd back up copies of my original GC games since I have the Viper case.

I wonder, if you backup your games and you are like me. Who still like to play your discs. Say you backed it up..suddenly your disc/game stop reading. Can you then take the iso file and reverse the process? So your backup is writen back to a new disc or best of all, your old disc?

Hello! I am completely new in the world of Nintendo Game Cube, today I recived my second hand console and I realized that there is no port 2 on it, mine is DOL-101 model but it has a chip installed which I don’t know what kind of chip is. So I woud like to know if I can install Swiss with the chipped console and how and if I can load the games on a sd and run it from the memory card slot. And finally what kind of sd shoud I used for fast speed and suppor the console and second if the is a lag on the games using the memory card slot instead the port 2. Greetings and thanks in advance.

I did all of the steps in the video, but for some reason, the process falls short of success just as I'm about to actually play my backups. Swiss seems to be loading them, but then, as soon as it does, all it shows me is a green screen. Forever. Can anyone give me any tips? Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Is there no way to auto run Swiss without having to do the savegame exploit every time? I was hoping this would be something like FreeMCBoot . if not I'll just stick to a modded wii as it still seems more convenient (and my gamecubes will continue to gather dust :( )

I have the wii setup as it's more convenient to priiload boot straight to the home-brew channel but I kind of want the gamecube console in my setup for aesthetics, wii just looks lame with the gc controller coming out the flappy door lol

I just received my SD2SP2 Adapter, it came overnight! Unfortunately I can't shut the door for the serial port, don't want to force it in and inadvertently break the adapter. update: I just broke off the top piece and it fits!

Not sure if this thread is still alive or not, but can you clarify how you can do an in game restart back to the swiss menu? Not a fan of seeing the intro of 007 every single time. People say you modify the dol folder in the swiss, but there's nothing except for the previous gcrip dol from that last vid that I followed. Just going to leave this here and see. hyuk.

Can someone please clarify sd and micro sd card specifications with Swiss? I see some info from years ago saying swiss in general will only support 32g cards. And current information that says it supports up to 2T. I've heard they must be formated as fat32 but then I've heard fat16 is better if fat32 doesn't work for some cards. And I assume if you aren't using a memory card to sd adaptor but instead the other serial port you will be fine as long as its formatting correctly. Probably up to 2T. But what about the memory card to sd card adaptor? Will it read confidently from larger cards? I noticed its sd card. So can I use a micro sd to as card adaptor and then use that in the memory card to sd adaptor? Can someone clarify some of these questions? That would be really helpful. Thank you Edit: I've also seen info that says the gamecube in general doesn't read anything over 2g sd. Is that limitation from the memory card to sd adaptor? Or is that just old info?

Modding a Gamecube makes 0 sense because you can literally just mod an original Wii model with the gamecube controller ports and plug in a USB external drive and play wii and GC isos and have access to better emulators too.
