Can the same bigger gobblet keep getting smaller pieces.

Only one gobblet can be moved at a time. A big gobblet can be put on a smaller gobblet that already has an even smaller gobblet under it. But, if that bigger gobblet is moved again, the small gobblet under it comes back into play. I hope this make sense and helps.

Didn't directly address whether you can gobble a piece using an external gobblet, but also why tf is that the exception? Just feels more complex than it needs to be.

That's funny. You emphasize "external gobblet" a lot. But I've been playing this game for a decade, and there's nothing in the rules that came with mine about "external" gobblets. You cna play any size from your hand to the board, at any time. You can't play from your hand to gobble, unless someone has three in a row -- same as you rules. But nothin in mins says you have to play "external" gobblets first.

This presentation would be superior if it was explicit as to which gobblets a player can move. In general, my interpretation of the game is that I may only move my own pieces. For example, where you say "A player may move an external gobblet" I take you to say "A player may move an external gobblet they own." Because this is unclear, we are not able to play this game.
