Great video! When I first visited your videos a couple years ago I didn't know anything about guitar so I was really intimidated by these videos lol but now that I know a bit more about guitar I can understand a bit more about what you are explaining lol. Thanks for a great explanation. I don't understand the X00233 etc. Though. I guess I'll have to just figure it out but it would be extra helpful if you'd be willing to give a short explanation of what that means in your videos or have the chord pictures up. Thanks so much!
@ladymaggiebelleum2733 жыл бұрын
Lisa T I'm not sure if Aaron ever answered you, or anyone else, or if you're still interested. But, X00233 has a very simple explanation. Your guitar has six strings. X00233 represent those six strings as they move away from your head toward your feet. The closest string to your armpit is E, the bass string of the guitar. When you don't want to play a string you X it out; in this case you mute it by touching it with your thumb. The next string, moving away from you, is open (no fingers) so it is 0. So is the next one. Then you use fingers on the fourth string away from you and press down in the 2nd space. The last two strings you press down in the third space. So X= silent; 0 = open (no fingers); 2 = push down a finger in the 2nd space; 3 = push down a finger in the 3rd space. The metal bars are called frets, and you try to push the string down as close to the fret as possible, but still in the space. I hope this helps, and if you learned this 4 years ago, well, that's great too!

I enjoyed your explanation of the rhythms but if I may, I would suggest that you use the real names of the chords no matter where you move the Capo. Just a thought. It`s very easy and may eliminate the confusion for those who are learning at this novice to intermediate level. Not at all being derogatory, I just think that your video would be better if you used the chord names and not the finger positions. Then again, it`s your football
@felixchien16644 ай бұрын
For guitar playing where you're using the capo, the way he explained it is the best way. Particular for a novice guitar player. He did give you the names of the chord but with the Capo on the 4th fret. Unless you mean something else by the "real names of the chords". It wouldn't make sense for him to call the G Major Chord shape a "B major Chord" for example.

In my opinion, the video is good, but you talk to much, if you try to do it more slowly, to capture the movements and talk less, it will be easier to learn.

show how to play the whole song and then explain the arrangements step by step ...... Just review this didactics that will be much better for learning who see your videos.
@toddvickery27085 жыл бұрын
Your lessons would go a lot better if you spent more time playing the song than talking about it if people can't play these chords and strum it then it's not even worth trying to do it you have to play the song out man
