@ the 4:00 mark, I advise on the strumming pattern for the verse, esp switching from the D, A, and back to the G chord. The way I play it, my hand is going down & up the whole time -- I just "accent" certain down & up strokes along the way, as he does on the recording. Let me know if that helps! Thx for the comment!

I'm not meaning to be critical and I may have missed it mentioned but it looks like the capo is on the first fret. I tried learning this song when it came out. My guitar teacher had me lost. I came to realize after time that it was because he was lost.
