The lick shown at 3:04 presented a long time (years) a huge problem to me. I used to play it like this: 6 on high E, 8 and 6 on the B, 8 and 5 on the G, 5 on the D, 8 and 6 on the A, 8 on the low E. It's hard to play this full speed without messing up. I guess it exposes my level of alternate picking. But despite of a lot of practice it just wouldn't get right. The main problem are the two notes next to each other on the fifth of the G and D string. Lately I play it like shown here and that seems to be better although the same problem-notes are still there next to each other.
