A rule you missed: You can still be challenged right after you play your last card(s). If you are challenged successfully, you take the whole stack as normal and you don't win.

That’s why you bullshit before you get to the last card. For example, if you are supposed to put down a 4 this turn, then an 8 next turn, then a Queen, and you have a Jack, Queen, and 8, you should play your Jack as the four, because you can bluff early and it is less likely to be called. Your last card will be automatically challenged so you should not bluff it all possible.

Another rule I like to add is that you can take a risk and challenge even though you're already out of cards. If the challenged turned out to not be bullshiting, then you take the card pile and play again. Is it dumb? Yes. Do I like it anyway? Yes.

I mean, it's kind of obvious that you have to be able to challenge on the last turn... If you couldn't, every single game would always end with the first player winning by saying "thirteen Aces!" and winning immediately.

I learned this game on Neopets. On there, you had to declare your cards to be within 1 rank of the previous player; Aces round the corner, leading to King or Two. If there was no stack, you can call any number.

We always called this game Bullshit, and also we added a Joker as a wild card, and playing up to 5 cards was allowed. If you had the Joker in your hand when someone played out, you went back double for that hand.

I've been playing this game wrong the whole time, we let the player choose which card they want to put down and everyone goes around putting down the card with the same value. We also let people pass on their turn and if everyone passes then the person who put down the last card is able to put down a new card of a different value

For me and my family, we always had trouble cause 1 player would end up with almost all the cards, and no one could get rid of all their cards. So we made a home rule. After shuffle, and before dealing and play, take out 20 cards and leave them to the side. Now even though you may have all the cards at the end, you can’t be sure that you know what card the last player has.

We call this game "challenge", and in each hand we have to deal cards of the same type, i.e., 2 aces followed by 3 aces etc.

Different rule sets I guess... one game can have many different variations I also play with Ace of Spades going first, but the way I play it, the initial Ace of Spades is actually played face-up, as opposed to face-down like the rest of the cards (others simply play with the first Ace of Spades face down like normal)

Ok so I get the concept of the game but all 52 cards? What about jokers?? I've played so many other games without jokers. Where do jokers fit in this game?? Most people leave them out and are only left 50 cards. So if I was playing with all 52 cards. What do the jokers do???

No, 52 card deck is a standard deck. The full deck is 54 card(52 standard card + 2 jokers)

That’s a perfectly fine strategy. If the other players are bad at identifying bluffs and therefore keep receiving cards, you would actually win that way.

I usually played a modified version that's mixed with the Polish card game called pan. All cards below the 9 are dropped, and aces are high. The player that has the nine of hearts plays it face up, and then the game continues clockwise with cards face down. Players can only play one or four cards, with the exception of three nines. For every BS, the nine of hearts always stays on the table. You are allowed to call BS on your opponent's last card.
