That's why I love The Black Keys, their music sounds like it's made in a basement and their music is often reasonably easy to learn. Also Marty is awesome for breaking down in this easy way, thank, you the man.

Love this lesson. I need your advice as a teacher. I'm struggling with chording, due to large hands and fingers. It's been suggested that I try to find a guitar with a wider neck. I've found a couple of good companies that make quality guitars with 1 3/4" neck widths. Right now I'm looking at a Heritage 535 and a G&L S500. Both seem to be versatile guitars. Would you have any suggestions? Should I go the route of a larger neck? Have you known of players with this issue? What did they do?

Just watched their performance of this on Letterman, and Dan mostly plays the main riff the "easier" way. I like the way it sounds in the "harder" position though.
