Its a bit old, but a video on Monarch Percussion's 2022 variant of the warmup "Leghettos" would be amazing! Especially a dissection on the metric modulations near the end. I love your videos boss, and am always happy to learn new techniques and rudiments from you! 🤙🤙🤙

Hey man thanks for a great video! What you call batwings (cool name!), we called “offsets” at Infinity last year (I was on the 2023 snareline). We called it this because of a following rudiment “upsets”: same triple stroke each hand, but with the left being offset by one extra 32nd note. (The following example is 8th/16th as opposed to 16th/32nd as they’re typically notated, just for ease of typing in a comment section.) So if you had offsets as 1 & 2 & 3 (sticking of R L L L R), upsets would be 1 &a2e a3 (R RLRL LR). It’s a rudiment that’s been floating around in the drumming community for a bit, but WGI 2023 was the first time we saw any groups play them in show book (Pulse and Thesis). These can be done off the left of course, and in a 5-let version (4 notes per hand instead of three). There’s also a secret flam tap version that we haven’t named yet 🤫 Thanks again for the video! 🤘

I learnt the hard way last season, never learn/teach the snare breaks from 1st few weeks of tour. lol they change massively (often shortened or watered down). I do want a copy of Ditty23 asap though if anyone can get it!!

Why dont you do any tenor music tutorials
@FreestyleRudiments Жыл бұрын
honestly... not enough demand. way less people learn tenors and the tenor guys can still learn the other content.

Hmmm…..grace notes on ALL flams should be played lower. It’s an embellishment, not a tap stroke.
