Visit www.activemelod... for more guitar lessons like this! In this lesson, I'll show you how to play the classic Jingle Bell Rock on electric guitar with no accompaniment. It's always hard to find no accompaniment arrangements like this in which the player is using a pick, definitely a different approach.

I can't stop watching this video. This is very well explained. Quite possibly the coolest thing I can play now. I can play it all correctly. Often in videos I learn about half and make up the rest, because I get lost, bored or don't understand. This is so well explained, you can't go wrong! ..and it's not an "easy" song to play. Thanks for the awesome lesson!!!

I started doing this in 2018 for Christmas 2018 but ran out of time....this time I am ready......I had about 3/4 of the song down but by the time I started on the last part, it was too close to Christmas.......now I have a couple of months to finish the rest...Brian, you are an inspirational player and I am enrolled in your course now for two years ! We started an "Adult R&R band" and are all "green" playing as a group...we did have two gigs this summer (2019) and did OK for "first timers" !

21:07 the "Famous Beatles Song" that you were referring to my good sir is "Oh Darling" which I believe George starts with a C aug Chord. I'm glad you mention that because while I was watching your lesson by a funny coincidence I was noodling with that exact chord before you mentioned it. Great lesson by the way.

The Chord around 14:16 isn't Ebdim7, it's a D7 chord the way you're playing it. If the second finger played the Eb on 5th string 6th fret it would be Ebdim7..

@nathangray9434 5 жыл бұрын
It’s not splitting hairs. It’s musically incorrect. If I took this to a band to play and I told the bass player it’s F#m and he plays F#, it’s gonna sound real weird when he should be playing C# in the bass over the Dmaj7.

Actually, if you think of a D7 chord as F♯dim/D (which it is), and since he's not actually playing a D-note, what he's playing there is F♯dim - first inversion: A, C, F♯, A'. :-)

I love revisiting this episode to brush up on your version of this tune. Is there a name of playing style like yours where the melody is integral with the cords used simultaneously? As opposed to playing a melody with single notes. Kind of a rhythm-and-lead-at -same-time thing.
