Dang! Super cool! Some wonderful transcription and analysis. I definitely have to look at the CAGED system in the future.

Thanks so much. It's pretty wild isn't it? There's a lifetime of learning in less than two minutes of guitar playing. Appreciate you checking out the video.

At 3:40 you mention he plays an F chord which is a C shape in the 5th position. I need to do some serious brushing up to really understand what’s going on here. Do you have any learning material you can point me toward as a beginner to this level of theory?

Youre adding much more than Mayer plays. Less is more. But great work.

The most popular tutorial for this is absolutely unbearable to watch. I’ll never understand how people learn from a teacher who doesn’t even play the part first. Just walks through for 15 mins note by note with zero context then plays the part at 1/4 speed over and over. There is a reason Marty music is so popular. This isn’t classical piano lol it’s guitar. Play the part. Break down the basics. Mention any specific things that are important, play the part again and again. Move on. Well done on this you get it.
