Hi how are things?
I am very excited to post this video. Many people have asked me how I do many of the effects that Leo P does (overtone glissando, growl, altissimo...), and in this video I'm going to try to explain it. I also review what are the most characteristic elements that Leo P uses to obtain that Brasshouse sound. To analyze everything I'm going to base myself on my song "Basstep", which is a song for bass clarinet and drums inspired by this style. I am going to tell you how I composed it, what elements I used, some tips and techniques so that you can play, improvise or compose in this style. I tried to cover as much as possible in 10 minutes. I will also put several examples of Leo P on Moanin, BBC... If you like this type of video, let me know in the comments and tell me which song you want me to analyze, be it my compositions or others.
