I realized that to sound great and on time, you need to think more of word and sentences instead of letters. Then you can improvise with timing, dynamics, and word selections etc

I play guitar but this may be universal... has anyone ever had the same issue where u just end playing your "main" licks over and over when you just let yourself go? Im trying to force myself to have my new licks that i practice come up, but then again.. thats not really "letting yourself go" as charlie parker said
