The original is played tuned down a half step and played at the 5th fret. Yes it does make a big difference as you can ring out open strings. Nice job though

With respect there is lot of incorrect info, unless this is just for the novice and I mean like I said it was kinda a karaoke version.

The "stab" riff you played doesn't sound right to me. The guitarplayer (Mabon "Teenie"Hodges, an elegant player) is playing the top end of a D-flat minor 7 with the B on top, an RnB-style flourish typically played on m7 chords. Try it.
