On the original track, the solo, did they use a sustainer petal or other effect? It sounds like theres more then gain/distortion. Also did you know the band made this song up quickly as it was needed for the album side b. Similar story for black sabbath paranoid :) Very nice lesson, thanks

I have seen Natareth live here in Salzburg many times and I remember the first time I went to a Nazareth concert, they used a glass bottleneck. So I thought, well, maybe they did it on the record too. Funny thing, on all the following tours, they never played Love Hurts like that again and I couldn't even find a video on the internet in which they did so before. Anyway, ebow. That explains a lot, thanks!

There's a few picking patterns to the chorus but this is not the way that Nazareth picks it.but its all giod.chords were right though.evwryone has their own picking pattern they choose.and your lead still sounds a lot different yet.notes are right but just the sound.plus in the song you can't hear where the pick hits the string. It sounds like a continuous note.with yours you can hear the little break between notes from the picking.any idea??

@@GuiTabsYes, I know this is not the songs tempo here. I mean when you play it at full speed it seems to slow down right after the intro, right when the singer comes in. It sounds really good that way. Like the original. I play it to a metronome, so I'd have to use two tempos to do that. One for the intro and slower for the rest. I may be wrong, and I'm probably getting way too picky for my guitar playing abilities anyway. lol. Thanks for the link. I already watched it and it was really good! Downright amazing.
