I started learning this rhythm about a week ago. Now i am getting it right. I think of it as a repeatation of (rosguedo down up) twice. Only second time i need to mute the strings during rosguedo.Thank you for the lesson. 😊

@@Ekenkometen In my book there are no scales but strumming patterns for Spanish guitar and a lot of exercises. It will be still fun, but not mariachi. So you can learn rumba, triplet, the Rodrigo y Gabriela strumming etc. It will definitely help you though to strum better on mariachi as well.

Yes, videos...for example how to combine your fantastic "rasgueados" and techniques, while always staying in rhythm, and following singer/dancer. I hope that makes sense. :)

..There is one video I found that has a singer and guitarist doing a simple Alegrías, with lyrics and chords with the clear "compás"..very little talking about it, so easy to understand for non-Spanish speakers. But maybe not so many people doing this.
