Fantastic play through. I’ve played almost 10 games and still keep making mistakes. Your play through really answered a lot of tiny rules questions I wasn’t clear on. At 25:21, when Weapons Runner come into play, and after puttiing the treat frome Klaw on the main scheme, Weapons Runner also thwart because you now have a minion engaged with T'Challa. Congrats for your videos. By far the best you can find for Marvel Champions.

Hi Dale, at 28:00 you played Ancestral Knowledge and put 3 Wakanda Forevers back in your deck. I believe that they have to be 3 different cards, as in the name of each card must be different.

Great video. I'm learning a lot from each play. On 9:56 when For Justice gets played in Spider man turn, the card reads "Hero Action (thwart) " I always thought that the hero needed to perform the same action in order to trigger those cards hehe. For example Spider needed to thwart in order to play that card, but now I see that's not the case.

First off, thanks for the great video! Question on the rules. Starting at 30:00 when you were refilling the heroes hands you had to draw an encounter card for each one of them since the deck of each one ran out of cards. But you did not resolve these encounter cards until the last stage of the villain's phase. In this particular situation I guess it did not matter much since the player's phase had pretty much finished. But what about if your deck runs out of cards in the middle of your turn - do you immediately draw an encounter card, immediately resolve it and only then continue with your turn (this is what I have been doing)? Or do you deal yourself an encounter card but resolve it only during the villain's phase last stage? The rules are not very clear to me here, they say "immediately deal" but I am not sure when the resolving happens.

@todorkon The encounter cards are only resolved during step 4 of the villain phase, so no matter when you are dealt the card, you wait for the villain phase. Hope that helps, and good luck!!

At 13:28 you pulled the advance treachery card, I’m not sure that you treat that as a boost if it just says “the villain schemes” wouldn’t you just add his SCH value alone? Why would you boost it?

If I play two handed with Spider-Man and Spider-Woman and I have the Power of Leadership card in Spider-Man's hand, can I use that to pay for Spider-Woman's Pheromones event? I've tried looking this up but have been unsuccessful. I've seen you use Avenger's Mansion and other upgrades or support cards this way, just didn't know if this was allowed like in Arkham Horror.

@Tyler Arvin Generally, to pay costs, they need to come from the character playing the card. Characters can take "actions" on other players turns though. Hope that helps! :)

Appreciated knowing about how to play Plack Panther end of phase, however why play 2 characters instead of cutting the boss in 1/2 for 1 player. Then again this comes from a man who does research on enemies per hero and makes minion games, therefore feeling like getting more bang for my buck in the expansions.

Matúš Sedlák when the villain deck runs out you get an “acceleration token”, and then finish any encounter cards that need dealt ... I think, but not 100% sure. I know if you’re discarding for a card type the effect would “fizzle”.

No wonder I’ve been losing against Klaw really early. Been playing solo and every time his 1B main scheme gets 6 threat, I haven’t been switching it out for 2B. I just assume I lost the game. I’ve only ever played against rhino so I didn’t know that the schemes can progress.

Hi, I have been trying to learn how to play this with my son for ages. I just cannot wrap my head around it. I see you are starting out building your deck. How do you know what cards to get one building your deck? Do you have a video on building your deck?

Page 19 of the rulebook goes over making your deck. It will need to be between 40 and 50 total cards. 15 will be associated with the hero chosen, and the rest can generally come from only one aspect (aggression, justice, protection, or leadership) and basic (gray cards). Or you can just use the preconstructed or use one posted online. marvelcdb.com/ seems to be popular. Hope that helps!!

For cards getting shuffled I use Dragon Shield clear matte sleeves, and then for the character identity card, main villain card, and main schemes I use FFG sleeves (basically any premium sleeve that is clear on both sides). The Dragon Shield clear matte sleeves are "blurry" on one side, so not the best for dual sided cards but I love the way they feel. Hope that helps, and happy gaming!! :)

Tried this guy tonight with BP and Iron Man...BP wiped out from full health by three consecutive attacks in one turn which I couldn't block because the minion pulled out for a boost had "exhaust your hero" on 😠. Managed to cling on to Klaw 2 but then had to reveal three schemes in one turn so gave up as a lost cause. Thanks for showing us how this game *should* be played 😂

Watching this it shows the game is much too procedural with little to no story telling. Unlike LotR or the Arkham Horror LCG this game is simply too cumbersome for what it is supposed to do. Probably lots of possible errors when you play and try to manage it all.

We'll see what happens when the Rise of Red Skull expansion comes out later this year. This is supposed to bring campaign/scenario play to the game. It doesn't sound as though it will be as story driven as Arkham Horror, but it will provide more of a story. :)
