I remember playing Mechwarrior 2: 31st Century Combat in high school on an IBM Aptiva. We eventually got Ghost Bear too. Very fun games.

With the vonBiomes Mod, you have a "Retro Pixel Filter" Option in MW5 for the sweet pixel looks :) (with Mod Options Mod Installed;) Brings also back a little old school feeling, more like Mechwarrior 3.. have a try;)

I would add one recommendation to this video. If you are playing the DOS version of Mech 2 Mercenaries, download and install the version 1.06 patch. It fixes many general bugs and mission bugs throughout the game.

Hey Ray, did you see my comment about using the game's cinematic camera that allows you to attach it to a mech? Instead of using Unreal Engine Unlocker, just press Ctrl + Shift + V in-game and then use your controller to move around, and press Start or Select to attach the camera to the mech you're pointing at.

IMHO, the best way to play mercs, is with the joystick. It’s just better feel than hammering away at a keypad.

I loved Mech 2 and GBL, but Mercs would always get me with the Comet Defense mission.

Holy cow. A command prompt. Last time I've seen that was in the 90's. With Win 95 & 98, 3.0, 3.1 I was still going out to DOS from time to time. To optimize my config.sys & autoexec.bat files. After subsequent windows, I've stopped using it.

Do you know how to get to the dosbox prompt screen? There is no blue window which says Welcome to Dosbox and there is no Z:\> prompt. There is a black window that says DosBox Status Window which does not allow me to type anything. There is also a red dosbox window that opens along with it and does nothing at all.
