please get virtual desktop. Oculus link doesn't allow you to charge your quest while playing and virtual desktop increases performance by 2x to 3x in my case as I have a 1650 super. It's just recommended. Also get at least a wifi 6 on your router or on your pc or just get ethernet

@@ThatInformationGuy Okay I see some confusion here. - You need a Minecraft java account. In order to get this you need to buy minecraft. Minecraft and questcraft are from different developers. - Questcraft is an independent standalone app that runs in your quest3 (without needing a pc). Therefore, quescraft is free. When you open the app on quest3 it will ask for your account. Then you can play.

Basically, Microsoft doesn't support VR anymore after they killed their own VR/XR product. Titles that used to have VR and are still getting updates slowly see the VR support removed, including Minecraft.

@@sadboimichael8172 Quest 3 is heavier than a 4k screen and will feel bad if you don't get very stable framerates and over 60fps 1% low. Also a low quality USB cable can cause issues, same with congested Wifi environment (or a router that can't offer the wifi bandwith and qualiy of service). You want Wifi 6, line of sight between Quest and router and even then some cheaper Wifi 6 routers don't have the CPU horsepower, or cooling headroom to keep up if there are several devices asking for data at the same time.

That cable is expensive for one reason. The limitations on cable length to keep the spec of usb 3.2. These cheap cables are nowhere near the quality or actual bandwidth they claim as 8ft is often the upper limit before the cable bandwidth starts to degrade. This is a hardware limitation. The meta cable is actually better and does deliver more bandwidth because it’s actually a fiber optic cable on the inside with converters built into the cable on each end rather than standard copper this allows them to bypass the short cable length but deliver high speed bandwidth. Yes it sucks but realistically the hardware doesn’t exist yet. The cable spec of USB4 is even worse if you’re wondering about that. Yes faster speeds but only at short distances

Also cables kinda suck in roomscale VR. It's a lot better to get a Wifi6 router and a headstrap with replaceable battery that can charge the quest fast enough. The Binbok T3S Plus set can totally do 8 hours sessions if you rotate and charge the batteries while playing. Not all battery strap sets can do this, as the quest can still drain more than some battery straps can deliver and thus run out of it's internal battery and eventually shut down under heavy load.
