Oh I'm absolutely bothered by all of the inaccuracies and extreme creative liberties taken. It's just especially funny when they actually try to replicate a game accurate chicken farm and fail. If the trapdoor was on the top half then the lava would destroy the items dropped by the chicken before they could be collected, so that wouldn't really work either. The whole point of the trapdoor (which should have been a slab) is to protect the items from being burned.

5:09 The chicken would die, because if you actually use your eyes you can see the trapdoors do not place above the bottom of the glass, and therefore would not technically occupy the block above, meaning the chicken would die. Also simple answer to if the chicken’s meat would be burnt, no they would have hoppers underneath.

If I remember correctly Skeletons can spawn with swords, it's just extremely rare and I don't think it's on Java. I'm also pretty sure I've seen Ibxtoycat show that they do on one of the regular Minecraft versions.
