Oh I'm absolutely bothered by all of the inaccuracies and extreme creative liberties taken. It's just especially funny when they actually try to replicate a game accurate chicken farm and fail. If the trapdoor was on the top half then the lava would destroy the items dropped by the chicken before they could be collected, so that wouldn't really work either. The whole point of the trapdoor (which should have been a slab) is to protect the items from being burned.

I still find it weird that it has to be set in USA at first, but at least most of it is in the Mario universe. Nothing proving the country, but it was filmed in Canada, but will probably be set in USA as well. I don't mind films actually set in USA. The iron trapdoors are at the middle point of the block 2 below the pistons, even though you can't place trapdoors in the middle of a block in MC. But Phoenix's recreation is also wrong, because he put the trapdoors at the bottom of the block 1 below the pistons. If you put the trapdoors at the top of the block 2 below the pistons and the timing is right, it should work.

If I remember correctly Skeletons can spawn with swords, it's just extremely rare and I don't think it's on Java. I'm also pretty sure I've seen Ibxtoycat show that they do on one of the regular Minecraft versions.
