It's a rule that Hasbro uses for all the licensed Monopoly variations. The corner spaces use the same iconic designs, no matter what the theme is. The GO space is slightly different here, since it has the collect 2 coins and boss fight instructions added, but aside from that, it uses the same font and red arrow as the standard GO space.

It stood out to me the most in the mandalorian variant, where the "free parking" space really stood out with it's classic design. That made me wonder if there's actually a legal reason why those stay the same

The idea of being able to expand the range of character tokens and abilities via DLC bags was pretty interesting. I know when I bought the Mario Kart edition, I specifically bought Yoshi for my mom to play as.

@@ego-lay_atman-bay The version I bought had 4 characters, Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad. The rest could be bought in individual bags. To be clear, Monopoly Gamer: Mario Kart was a separate game from Monopoly Gamer. Although the rules were similar, the pieces couldn't be used with both games.

Its because the super mario monopoly was already exist called monopoly super mario, so this monopoly is called the monopoly gamer, not the monopoly mario. Because they don't want the similiar same title for the monopoly for their two types of monopoly.

Pretty sure the rules say you can trigger the Movement Die and Powerup Die in any order. Or they do for the Collector's Edition, anyway.

I have this and have played it several times. It's honestly pretty fun. It's more like Mario Party than Monopoly and moves fast enough that there's barely any bartering or bankruptcy.

I kinda play with special Rules where if all coins the player owns is gone and they take one more hit when no coins are present then they are knocked out. Kinda like Solo Play in Mario Party 5 where you had to eliminate the Koopa Kids by dropping their coin count to 0.

Fair enough. But what about the points earned by the knocked out player? Will the one who knocked them out receive them, or will they be returned to the bank?

What happens if there are multiple players on the next clockwise space when you trigger the green shell? They all get hit? Or you choose who gets it?

I always choose to let the player who gets the shell choose. Its not monopoly if you arent destroying your friendships.
