Shadow nerf to crouch tho. Feet are exposed when shields crouch now. Blitz got fucked hard. Anyone with halfway decent aim smoked a Blitz from a distance now.

One really useful tip is when you're in ADS and press the button for retracting the shield directly it will be retracted significantly faster than zooming out and then retracting. Sounds simple but it's not that obvious and gets you to safety much faster

Damn I only ever break out Monty for some funny rush plants on certain sites with my buddies, always thought to be aggressive you'd be way better off using Blitz, this video has convinced me otherwise and now I really wanna go try some aggressive Monty lmao

I used to main Fuze, then got attached to the shield and figured I’ll play Monty as a joke. Unironically main him now. My best thing I’ve done so far is somehow sneak past the entire enemy team, default planted, and just stood on top of the defuser. We lost that game as a whole, but that round was mine.

hey, quick question, what button do you use to melee with shields? I know that the "v" key is the default, but it's incredibly uncomortable to press since it makes it difficult for me to sprint at the same time. I was thinking of assigning the melee function to my mouse side buttons, but I only have two and one of them is for push-to-talk and the other side button is for secondary gadgets. I find both actions to be incredibly important for me, so do you have any keybind suggestions besides "v" that could help me maintain a sprint with montagne?

2:35 "I crouch to block my feet" and that's the problem with the Shield rework. U just get beamed down if you crouch if ur playing in high Elo lobbies. Blitz is dead and monty is not what he used to be... RIP Shield ops

i have the issue of isolating my ones. i tend to have the whole enemy team looking at me and im not sure how to avoid that. its like one sees monty and they all want to rush him immediately. worst part is my team dont use me as a distraction and flank them but instead keep trying to peek around me and either shoot me in the back of the head or die despite my pings on the enemy and all they need to do is prefire. so i never get the chance to drop the shield because theyre always looking at me or trying to peek my teamates around me. i dont want to blame my teamates and id like to know what i can do different to improve but its tiring trying to learn when i keep getting either tked on accident or left in a 1v5 in the first 15 seconds of the round because they all try to peek the same angle...
