as a shield main, i've seen some people are just forget that they can melee a shield operator to get an opening, instead of doint that, they're just trying to run away and expose their back to that shield operator. remember, to counter us, don't be afraid to melee us and give us some pressure (except, u encounter a blitz).

Yeah but he just explained that the buff allows you to melee a lot more easily than before. Now you should try to stay away from Monty or shoot the shield, if he's close to you he'll knock you down and finish you off. You often need a few hits to be able to shoot the Monty behind his shield while he only needs one

You can also use the emp to jam sights btw for anyone reading this, if you’re on console it’s even more effective but on pc very low chance that they might have an external crosshair like crosshair x or something but if it’s a fenrir or bandit they possibly are running iron

would recommend core ross for particular ops interaction with other gadgets with his mythbusters series of course you have to adjust to current meta. Also Macie Jay. He is the single smartest Siege player I've seen and if you find any video where he highlights an op its typically him giving a masterclass through gameplay more than a tutorial.

I love using smokes with shields. Like yeah I can do the old smoke sight lines backwards plant, but I also love using them to isolate one defender to get an easy kill. Granted this doesn’t work anywhere farther than gold but it’s fun when it works

After playing on the mid ranks (gold and slightly above) against console and pc players I have realized that when you play pasive with Monty is not the worst idea to just crouch from time to time and nobody really expects it since shield ops usually run around like bulls. The shield itself doesn't make THAT much noise when crouching so he can be a stealth operator, just pray they don't bring any intel-heavy op like Valkirye or Maestro.

Kudos is always great, one of my fav R6 creators alongside Nolimit and macie Jay. Didnt think to use emps grenades that kich on monty but it makes sense with how much Kapkan, Fenrir, and melusi are played definitely will make them my default from now on. Also yeah I have been saying this for a long time but lesion is nuts he is like the best op in pro league right now and ranked. I also hate playing against lesion he can be so annoying

I’ve found if you play Monty, You naturally improve, also, practice with his revolver, it forces you to slow down and pace your shots, and improve your aim.

Agree but not on the revolver parts. It's literally like cutting off your own legs. That thing is soooo much worse than the P9. For most enemies at close range you need 3 shots with both weapons and the revolver has very high recoil and way less ammo.

If you truly have a 5 stack that plays as a team and you play passive revolver isn’t bad, the high damage lets you one tap anyone that’s 70 health or lower which is basically anyone that’s been in a fight if they don’t have heals and with laser the new ads speed is pretty crazy on shields so if they aren’t looking directly at you then it’s almost guaranteed one tap down or kill but if your team is too aggressive or isn’t really communicating its ass cause you can’t really prefire. Or you could “just shoot the head”

1:55 people don't realize that alls you have to do to get better Fire Rate and get a better trigger finger in Siege is to practice. I've used DMRs very frequently since they were buffed in Y5S2 (and a little before), and my trigger finger is WAYYYY better than it used to be.
