So glad to hear the "attackers need to use their gadget" thing so early in the video, which was one of my initial points when I was telling people that Solis would be a powerful operator. My other thought was that she likely shines more in higher levels of play than lower levels because that's where you're more likely to experience droning and gadget use.

In the sense that people need to use utility for her to be useful she's a bit like Warden. Thankfully half the crap the attackers toss out is electronic anyway so she's useful a quite a bit.

It's just a different style of play to use for her to be great at lower levels. Lower levels rely a lot of on anti-flank gadgets to cover their backside so a lurking Solis could easily deal with these and be a menace on the flank. Same with jump outs and run outs. Plus I think she will be very useful at those levels to aid in bandit tricking.

@limbergravy my matches always seem to have jackal and thatcher banned on attack, so the only folks I get to track are blitz and nokk. Once jackal is banned, they basically have zero anti-flank lmao. This is copper/bronze btw. That said, they never ban kaid, so there's not really any bandit tricking either.

I tend to find that the muzzle break is also great on the P90 because it feels like there is a bit of a kick on the first shot. Aside from the Extended Barrel and Compensator, I think any barrel attachment works well with the P90. I personally like to Anchor with her, and the ITA is a solid shotgun. Similar to other shotguns that you have shown off, you 100% need the laser sight for the added spread reduction for consistent 1-pump kills or downs, but it's still a solid option. I will give suppressor or flash hider a try on the P90, though, and give roaming a whirl. Thank you SO MUCH for this video. So many people have unnecessarily trashed on her calling her a bad op even before she came out. Content creators like you, Macie Jay, etc that take the time to understand the op and put the time in her are showing off how good she CAN be. These guides also help players a ton. Keep up the awesome work!

@@GGE lol true, but when bigger content creators like Skittlz, OMGitspriest, and Yo_Boy_Roy are running around calling her a bad op (Roy even saying that she's as bad or worse than Grim), people get a negative impression of the character before even giving her a chance to be played, regardless of who or what the operator is being compared to. I think when content creators and players sit back a bit and let an operator have the time to be learned and pushed to their limits first before jumping the gun on them, we find there are more useful / creative ops in Siege. That's why I'm so thankful for content creators like you, Macie Jay, Varsity, etc, that are taking a second or 2 to really dig into the operator before posting information on them. So again, thanks for that.

I can't speak for PC, but on console it's very usable, Sens is awesome now tbh. 3 speed, alright gun with lots of scope options, good support gadget and g6+can opener is a dream

Impacts are also useful for denying plants if attackers are on soft flooring. Breaking the floor under them disrupts the plant animation and might kill them depending on how low they are. Situational for sure, but good to keep in mind!

Interestingly enough, Sens is actually a half-way decent counter for Solis, at least vertically. Solis' goggles start glitching out if more than 5 electronics are in her FOV, and Sens' wheely-boi poops out a bunch of holo projectors. Sens is absolutely a viable planter on sites like Hookah, Cash Room, and other vertical sites!

Ok! I’ve been hearing it a lot and I still don’t really understand how Solis counters a Blitz rush. I know she can see Blitz but the whole aspect of the Blitz rush is that you’re going to see Blitz very quickly, finding him isn’t the hard part, Blitz is gonna make himself very well known. I can kinda of see the whole “you can see the Blitz outside the map sooner” but you’d start every round playing in a specific spot staring at the wall for a MAYBE 5% chance you see something slightly sooner.

6:24 Ive notices that if you tighten your muscles up when aiming stuff like this tends to happen so I always keep my muscles relaxed but my aim inputs careful very deliberate even when I’m not in a gun fight and precise.

The ITA long has some wild wall destruction for prep phase too. Being used to the Mossberg it seems like it has a good 10-20% greater diameter, lotta surfaces I think people can learn to pretty consistently make one-pump crouch or two-pump standing rotates with it. Lotta flexibility in her kit that should let her stay viable for a ton of bomb sites and maps where her main gadget can come in as a bonus to back up her setup capabilities

As a console player who has played siege on console since y1s4 and also plays PC, the smg-11 is actually very difficult to master when you’re not cheating with mouse. And now with the next gen consoles, mouse is even more powerful. I have a ps5 and I learned the best way to beat mouse players, and that is the smg-11. It takes some time but thunt and the shooting range actually helps a lot. My friends all use flash so they can tap and range but I have learned to control the recoil to near perfection at 20 meters of range. I have gotten many accusations of using mouse but it Is simply the fact that I have so many hours on the smg-11

I feel similar about her like I did with Azami, ops with unique gameplay loops are really special, I really enjoy playing Pulse already, and overall I've been making efforts to learn verticality more thoroughly, I've always cared to have good map knowledge and I feel she will reward the 7 years I've put into this game like Pulse, Valkyrie, and Azami have done. I love characters that give tools to predict or to force certain scenarios, my squad doesn't think she's a good op but I know I can make her work because I care about more than just shooting.

They aint crazy like azami, but they're solid and i could see them getting a good amount of use. Wonder if a pulse + Solis roam combo would work at all...

Definitely would work. Being above or below the enemy you can spot every person and gadget if you're close enough and tell your team. Even better, Solis can watch for flank drones and claymores if they need to get back to site.

While its definetly not the firsst gun you should use if you're learning the game, the SMG-11 isn't too difficult on console/controller if you practice a bit and are already accustomed to siege's recoil on cotroller. I'm not a fragger by any means, but as I train my recoil control more and more I keep getting better at smoke, and it's even earned me my first ace of the new season already.

On console it is less the vertical recoil but more the horizontal recoil that fucks you up, but at the same time so does 1200 rpm

The p90 Is it definitely an excellent weapon. I switched to it on rook a while ago and I Was able to hit heads a lot easier and I don't have that great aim. I don't know why but I Have had better results with the P90 than the mp5. The MP5 I've only found to be better in long range gun fights.

Solis got me to play this game. The AFEAU are the most badass, highly trained OPs in Latin America, I couldn't ask for better representation from my country. Solis' story also makes a ton of sense.. Police, and even special ops forces in Colombia suffer from a lot of corruption. the fact that she just said "fuck all that shit imma do my own stuff" is amazing. Only thing I wish they do for her is giving her more "specific" voice lines. like.. Colombia has a LOT of idioms and phrases that would fit her SO WELL. kinda like what cav says after an interrogation, but for Solis it could be used after she pings like a phone or a claymore.. A voice line or two in Spanish would make me even happier to play her. Her character design is also just great. A flag on the left sleeve is pretty standard for most uniforms. I'm biased, of course. but she is the best op in the game.

If the "I dont believe you" part is aimed at the statement that SMG11 is harder to use on controller, I'd be happy to back that up as someone that just recently made the swap. EVERY gun is easier on PC. Aiming in general is significantly easier on PC. Ive played console for 22 years of my life, from literally being a toddler, Ive been on PC for less than a month and with siege itself have had 5 years of on/off experience. Literally within 4 games of PC siege, my aim across the board was significantly better. As in, basic siege gunfights would give me a heart attack on the sticks. On the mouse I'd not even think twice about a 1v2. The SMG11 honestly is effortless on the mouse, on console, years of FPS experience doesn't make up for how god awful the Con-siege settings are. That being said, I wouldn't advise solis for new comers either. its a fair amount of jumping back and forth between gadget and action and you're likely to either spend too much time on the gadget or too much time on the gun to make actual use of them effectively

I sorta kinda wish her gadget also see and spot non-active drone just to make it to feel more completed. Her present in the field will make attacker pay more attention on their positioning and strat. Shot gun is not a bad option if you exclusively wanted to play like pulse but only for denying plant. She can sub in for Echo, Pulse(for plant denial) and Mossie (anti droning) role.

Gregor, any advice for attackers during prep phase? With Solis, even entering the building (leave alone the site) with your drone during prep seems like drone suicide.

Try to guess the site and don't drive it too close. Sometimes you'll just lose one and it's understandable. But you shouldn't be losing more than 2 drones in the prep phase under any circumstance.

if you really think about it siege is just chess but 3D, almost infinite peice positions and like around 60 different chess peices and white peices are called defenders and black peices are called attackers.
