"Never take your talent to the grave..." Wow, that makes me think........ I've been struggling to find a non selfish reason for sharing my music. I love to sing more than anything in the world but I have this stammering hang up on not wanting to be a glutton for attention or doing it for selfish reasons or... I don't know, I just really feel uncomfortable being the center of attention. I'm fine being in a chorus or a musical but I feel really weird when it's like all eyes on me. When I sing I'm really bearing my soul. It means so much. So if people misinterpreted what it's about I think that would just cut me right down. Maybe if I was part of a band... Any thoughts?

FINALLY! Someone who teaches showing the chord patterns directly, goes at a speed that doesn’t make you feel as if you’re always catching up and clearly explains what’s up. Without going into a lot of music theory (secretly bragging about their knowledge). I am SO glad I found your channel. I learned guitar by playing the blues with B.B. King records. That was over 50 years ago. But I strayed from the blues to folk, Celtic and pop. I forgot a lot of what I learned back then. I still play lead like the King, sort of staccato riffs with pauses of sustain. But I somehow lost the chords. As I recall a lot of 7th chords. Anxious to relearn. Hopefully you can re-teach this old dog some of his old tricks. The part of my brain that held that bluesy joy got all calcified and is gone. So I feel like a teenager again! THANK YOU.

I loved that guy..... he was a master .... I never was able to make the strings buzz like him(he said I was "too clean") .... sat with him for hours.... miss him.... my Mom would come back eventually and tell him "Thank You for looking after my son" and give him some money but I was NEVER ready to leave.... good memories from 60 years ago... and GodBless Mr. Albert

Howdy Eric, I stumbled on your channel while researching 'Trouble Blues' written by Charles Brown (piano and vocals)! I'm a former bandleader (keys, vocalist, songwriter, arranger, producer) of my own pop band. My husband gave me an electric guitar for Christmas decades ago and last Christmas I started guitar lessons. But I was never comfortable with that electric guitar ('86 Squier fender Strat). SO after some experimenting with guitars at guitar center, and discussion with my teacher - turns out that I'm a LEFTY! Even though, technically I'm right handed - the left handed guitars are comfortable and easier for me to hold and play. who woulda' thought?! SO for Christmas 2017, after much research, I bought a Lefty acoustic guitar...Thank you for this easy easy EASY video. My only guitar goals are to learn Mississippi Delta Blues style and play 1-2 songs on both guitars next time I meet Jonny Lang. Hi I'm from Holland and just picking up the (electric) guitar. Wanted to play that for a veeery long time, especially blues/bluesrock. As a kid I was not allowed to play guitar due to "unhealthy for the fingers of a 6 year old (?)" so I had piano lessons for 6 years. Now I'm 34 and finally trying out the guitar. Curious, challenging but feels really good so far. And I want to thank you, just sat here learning this lesson, forgetting time and imagening myself playing in a nice countryside or something. I'll be 47 this month and decided to start again, to help cope with PTSD; I'm building a Les Paul Junior tribute from Gibson's bottom-end brand, Maestro, using the best parts I can afford...Kluson tuners, Gotoh adjustable bridge, CTS pots and a ThroBak humbucker (the only part I have left to buy).
