thank you so much for going in depth when teaching us about pachinko! really appreciate the effort for this and the first video. i wanted to try playing when i was there earlier this year but it was so intimidating since i can't really speak japanese. your videos made me gain confidence and i'll finally go try it out when i'm there this winter. thank you so much and keep up the good work!

What's your favorite Pachinko machine that you've ever come across?

Tough to say, but I have always liked Hana no Keiji. It was the first one I ever played, and I have fond memories of some really big wins back when I played regularly. (I dont play at all now, just for content, lol.) HnK has always felt like a well balanced machine in terms of being exciting without being too 'busy'. Eva can be dreadfully boring when nothing is happening. Jigoku Shojyo is probably the most visually stunning.

Great video, it got me intrigued in the intricacies and now I have multiple machines at home. About the center press button. Are there wrong or less optimal times to press the button? I have a Lupin III I'm a Super Hero, and sometimes I feel like I press the button at the wrong time or too early (when some kind of button animation with a depleting progress bar is showing), because the result is often a failed reach. Looking forward to your next Pachinko video!

My 'mentor' in pachinko told me that the button push means nothing, basically. It allows you to interact with the machine and up the experience, but whether you push it or not has nothing to do with whether a spin wins or not. Some players sit there and ignore the button, never pressing it.

Love these videos because I feel like no one really explains what the hell is going on with these machines. A few questions 1) do you switch machines after winning a reach? Is a winning reach the same as a jackpot? 2) how much did you end up winning/losing to get us this footage

These are GREAT questions. I would love to do a play strategy and "what to do if you win" video next, so please look for that in the next couple of weeks. As for your second question, I think I ended up about even in terms of money. Also, I was playing the cheapo 1yen version of the machines. There is no actual difference in odds or how the machines work regardless of cost to play, they are the same machines but cheaper at 1yen per ball. (Regular is 4 yen per ball).

Usually you keep playing especially if you’re in a rush. Usually after you get your first bonus, there’s a chance or a guarantee (depending on the machine) that you will enter a rush and you can keep hitting bonuses until the reach is finished.

Did find it interesting! Thanks. Still confused when to shoot balls to the right though when the jackpot is happening? And when to stop?
@Exjapter
@Exjapter 4 ай бұрын
Your best bet is if a reach is just continuing and continuing (meaning it's hot and has a chance to win) just stop the balls entirely. Once you get the three numbers in a row (i.e. 7-7-7) be ready then to shot them to the right. It helps to know how many rounds the jackpot will be - I plan on making a follow up video with information like that soon.

Thank you for this series! I'm super curious but still don't know if I'll give it a shot. The whole switching to the right side after a winning spin still has me confused. Does shooting them to the right not give you spins? What happens if I keep aim for the left after a winning spin? Regardless I'm so grateful for this series of videos. Thank you for your depth in explaining the busy visuals of these machines

Good questions, sorry I didn't make that part clearer. There is a different catcher on the right side which is what starts paying out the balls, which is why you want to aim there when you win. Because you are now in the "win" mode of the game, you don't need to worry about getting spins from the other one. After the jackpot pays out, you will still shoot to the right during a sort of "chance" phase to try to get a continuing chain of wins. This phase is usually a set number of spins like 60, 100, or 120, depending on the machine. There is a spin generator/catcher on the right side as well, that is only open during this phase. This one generates spins more quickly than the normal one when you are firing at while trying to get that first jackpot.

Thank you for the explanation - so interesting. I know this video is old - but I have questions: 1. How much does it cost to play? 2. Also, on those wins, how much did you win? 3. What are the "odds" in the game.
@Exjapter
@Exjapter 3 ай бұрын
Great questions - the cost hasn't changed, and the wins vary from machine to machine. If you play the expensive version and the machine just eats your money you can spend 20,000 to 25,000 yen in an hour. A single jackpot is usually worth about 5000, but the hope is to get a chain of jackpots after the first one. I will be making a new video soon with all of this info.

I played a little bit of pachinko last time i was in tokyo but i had no idea what i was doing. I understand youre supposed to get the ball in the spot in the middle and then the machine goes crazy with lights and sounds once in a while. This video was informative in understanding the reach aspects. My question is, do you need to do something during these bonuses? I was unsure if how you press the button on the machine, if you need to keep or stop shooting balls, if you need to turn thr knob a certaib direction, etc. Does skill or timing matter during these bonuses?
@Exjapter
@Exjapter Жыл бұрын
There is no skill during bonuses, but there is timing which can help maximize your winnings. Your comment has me inspired to make another video, so please stay tuned. Did you have fun when you played, even without knowing what was happening?

Then you have the extremely rare reaches when you have a basic reach and the third symbol just drops in. Would love to join you for a pachinko session one of these days.

I got that ONCE, on an amadiji Hana no Keiji. Where are you local? My old partner moved back to the states, and it was fun to play with someone. I have never stumbled across your channel, and I have even searched for anyone doing English pachinko videos. KZbin search can be so worthless.....

Can you please tell me what the button on the side of the knob you turn to shoot the balls is used for?
@Exjapter
@Exjapter 4 ай бұрын
When you press it the balls stop shooting. Its useful when you have 4 spins lined up because shooting more balls doesnt help then, because 4 is the maximum you can have at a time.
