Just bought the game today after seeing so many recommendations for it. Something this video fails to do is highlight how great the included storage system is. The included storage system for Parks should be the standard all board game publishers strive for. There are a lot of beautiful pieces with Parks and there is a designated spot for all of them, and even better a diagram on the box that shows you where that spot is.

@@KeymasterGames Great KZbin video and channel but I found the background music was way too loud. I would strongly suggest you get rid of it altogether. I firmly believe that background music is distracting, annoying, and unnecessary (especially for educational and teaching videos with lots of talking). I also believe that people want to hear you speak/get information and how to play and not hear generic background music that doesn't really add anything useful and that people have to mentally filter out. Plus it will be one less thing you will have to do when making videos. Thank you.

Always late to the best parties...got this game yesterday from my wife for my 52nd birthday. Hasn't made it to the table just yet but wanted to say how beautiful this game looks. Just opening the box was a real pleasure. And a massive thank you for being one of those designers who gives thought to storage of the components. The internals of the box are superb....kudos!!! Loved the game! It's fun, and lived the raccoon. I would definitely slow down the pace of the video so people at home can follow along easier, also I would walk players through a season and explain the concepts as they come up, as opposed to sort of rapid firing info. Overall, great game and good video!

Off Topic: The German word for a racoon is "Waschbaer." It means literally "Washing bear" because the way racoons paws are always moving together, it looks like they racoon are washing their hands. I always thought what a sweet name. Bought this game for myself for Christmas. Not played yet but the artwork is superb.

such a vague rule book and video. still have no idea what the Lookout trail instructions are. There is not enough information in the basic trail sites section of page 4. the only place reserve or visit a park is explained is in the end of the trail section. do we turn in tokens, do we just collect them, does it mean anything for points, how long do they stay horizontal?

Does each season require a new set of three gear cards? We've just finished playing for the first time and it seems to work well this way. The manual does not state that, so I'm not sure if it's supposed to be played this way. Awesome video BTW 👍

Hi! Great question! The Gear cards do not refresh at the end of each season. In the new Nightfall expansion releasing later this year, there are new camping mechanics that create really strategic ways to refresh the Gear Deck!

The artwork is incredibly great. The game is a lot of fun. It's well designed and very intuitive after one round. However, we have had problems with balancing. The annual goals hardly bring any points and are sometimes very difficult. Some are much easier to achieve and others are almost impossible. Above all, as a new player, you are quite confused and get mixed up. That's why we removed them completely. And another small point of criticism. The parks that only bring two points are way too expensive. I'm not sure if they actually advance the fun of the game, or if it wouldn't be better to play completely without the two point parks. But apart from these two minor criticisms, the game is incredibly great.

Hi Alexander! We're glad to hear you're enjoying the game and we hear you on the Year cards. We have an alternative way to play Year End scoring in the expansion PARKS Nightfall! Have you seen that yet? We have an overview on our channel here if you want to take a look. For the Park cards, points are correlated to resources in the following way. Forests and Mountains are worth 1 point and Sun and Water are worth 1/2 point. All the park cards are valued relative to their resource worth. Of course, the game always offers you a chance to spend your water and sun on other things like Gear and Canteens. So that's the puzzle-y challenge of the game. Deciding when to go for those things, that can push you into higher scoring park cards, and when to go for Park points. Happy Hiking!

Each season's weather pattern is unique. In this case the pattern is water, sun, water, so the water repeats between the end of the pattern and the beginning of the repeat
