I am not going to lie I have played pele on the console and dear god you can pretty much kill any god early game by emptying your 3 - 1 abilities just make sure you hit 3 twice before engaging.

You can aa cancel with her 4 as of a recent PTS and if you know what you're doing she's a GOD. I am masters border Pele and I just rolled face on Anubis and Poseidon in the LATE GAME who were camping their titans because Hydra's proc aa cancels are the key to being a good Pele. 3 initiate- 1, aa cancel, 2 aa cancel, 2nd 1 and either aa cancel (if they didn't move) or use ult 4 if they are running AA cancel with the ULT - yes u can do this now, just once. Usually they are dead from that combo and if not by the time it is all over you are probably either in your passive for sustain and can out box them with autos or you have your 1 back and can finish them if they managed to actually escape (unlikely). IDK why I just gave away my combo but yeah you will wreck.

*I have to disagree on some points :* Firstly about the jungle clear early game, I personnaly hate upgrading the 3 first, the fact it costs almost no mana is actually shit because if you use a quick jungle rotation until lvl 3 and 4 you actually need to back anyway to get your boots and the buffs didn't respawn yet, so to me the mana agrument is wrong. To me the first ability to upgrade is clearly the 1 because as you said Pele is extremely squishy and vulnerable to cc, so you better need to have a good range ability to fight and poke safely. Having the 1 at max (5 projectiles) will give you a HUUUGE boxing potential against any jungler i fought against (except a strange freya) If you choose to upgrade the 2 or 3 first it absolutelly requires you to be close range to get value, which is dangerous. Last argument about levelling the 3 is wrong, often in the early/mid game you are going to steal ennemy farm, back harpies speed buff and so on, the quicker you steal them, the safer, and you can't steal them quickly with the 3, since it's dot. In general i level in this order since i dont gank before lvl 3/4 anyway : 1 / 3 / 2 / 1 / 4 Since I only use the fuel of the 3 to get extra movespeed in jungle or to gank (60% move speed) yoou will clear so much quickly your farm than the other jungler (watch the gold value in board to know it) since you move significally quicker and burst more quickly. The only Jungler that race Pele on my own experience at the moment is Nezha, he is so fast and will box you. About the build : As usual i go with mass tree + assassin's blessing + 2 pots (1 health 1 mana/health) =1500 gold and in almost every game i played i went for beads. Then you back to get your boots and then you finish Jotuun, having cdr with Pele seems really crucial since you don't have 4 abilities but actually 5 with the 2 charges of your 1. Magi's cloak is really required as a 5th or 6th because if you get caught ina team fight with no beads, you are dead. Remember that Pele is really strong at the moment and they'll all focus you in teamfight so you need that extra tankiness to survive after your 1 or 3 kills. Pele is the kind of god that wants to make ennemies flee, you are squishy but have good damage and chase potential, so to force them to flee, you need burst when you join the fight, which is only privided with your 1 and the 4. I would level the ultimate when you can except at level 13 when i finish my max on 1 to get 5 projectiles (remember leveling the 1 will buff 2 of your abilities since you have 2 charges + the cdr. I use the 4 to initiates fight because it's really easy to land, and provide good burst, then you are in close range, pop the 1 then the 2 then the 1 again, if the ennemy is low he will flee (WHICH IS WHAT YOU WANT) then you can double pop your 3 with almost full fuel and get that 60% move speed to kill him down. To me Pele is a burst hero, she can't stand in fight and provide all the dots that you say in the video with 3, you won't stay long enough to get full value, it's just numbers but in reallity you always play safer than this (mostly by using range abilities and keeping your escape. Transcendance once stacked following the punisher, warior tabi and jotuun will give you the opportunity to solo the pyromancer really quickly. I don't like lifesteal with pele since you can't apply damage over time but burst so it's useless in te flow of the fight in my own experience. Mantle of discord replacing your assasin's blessing late game will let you engage freely in the teamfight without being scared at all this time and you're unstoppable. I tried shifter's shield, I thought it would be good, but actually sucks hard, I don't really know why but yeah it didn't help me at all, which is strange. If your beads is anough tho, and you don't need magi's claok, just go mantle and then bulwark of hope, it hepls can value from your included life steal and stay alive in the fight.

Let me offer some counterpoints: The difference in clear between the 1 and 3 is very minor overall early on as the 1 still has a cooldown, that's a much bigger point than the mana here. I'm not opposed to leveling the 1 first either, but it's more of a playstyle question than anything else. You will have more poke potential, yes, but also less kill potential as your setup is weaker and sticking to a target does less for you. If you're playing in a high CC comp, that can be rewarding, in it low cc comp it probably won't. I have no idea why you think only Pele's 1 and 4 can burst when her 2 is also a burst ability on much lower cooldown than her ult. Your CC will be lacking for so long if you focus on the 1 and 4 primarily, it's not even funny. Also, again, using the 4 right away takes away your escape potential AND decreases your single target basic attack damage in many builds. Just get blink for engages. I never said Pele gets the full value out of her 3 in a teamfight, that was for clear primarily. That's why I also showed 4 ticks, which is a very realistic and achievable value in a teamfight (if not more) if you use her 2 to lock down enemies and then stick to them with them movement speed boost. So your build is Transcendence, Warrior Tabi, The Crusher, Jotunn's, Magi's, Mantle of Discord altogether. That build has at least one MASSIVE flaw: You entirely lack % pen. That means any slightly tankier target can pretty much ignore you. You need Titan's Bane at some point. If you trade out a tank item for it, you lose a lot of survivability, hence why Soul Eater/Shifter's are so good on her. Her entire passive is designed around being more than just a burst god. Idk what your problem with Shifter's was but it sounds a bit too anecdotal for me. I've had a lot of success building it.

I'm gonna go with some counter-counterpoints: x) About the burst yeah i totally agree that the 2 is really bursty and shouldn't get ignored at all, i just forgot to mention it. About Shifter, i'm gonna try it again and see why it ddidn't work for me the past games, I felt like i lacked damage maybe. About Soul eater now, this is a really interresting point because I see pretty much every ennemy's Pele picking it, LIKE EVERY OF THEM. And I won every match against them (except those where we have no tanks) When I watch my replay, i realize that in a teamfight or a gank i almost use onmly max 5 basic attacks sometimes even less. The fights that are longer, I most probably die and try to run away losing the fight. And i don't see how some life steal would help me staying alive more. Tho, transcedance helps me a lot more bursting them. I'm gonna try to build both at the same time, shifter's shield and Soul Eater to see if it goes better or worst. About my build, in general if i see that my 25 pens are enough to counter their squishies, is tick with this, if i see the ennemy warrior is really a threat or even the ennemy carries take defensive items, i go titan's bane right away. I'm gonna link my build under.

Then in the "core area" you have the build i never change, except some hard cases whee i'm clearly struggling, which didn't happen so far on live server. I build boots tier 3 as soon as I can then i finish my Jotunn. Then in general i pick mantle as a 6th item, or magi's cloak if i really need anti cc, then i replace the blessing by titan's if i need pen, mantle if i got magi's cloak before, and if magi's is still not necessary i see what's best between ancile, brawler, bulwark or bloodforge (for the passive only). About the relic, I never pick blink, like really never, beads and aegis saves my life too many times and i still get the important kills without blink so i guess i prefer these relics. About the ultimate, I only dive if I know i'm gonna get the kill and thus, chase safely or escape safely ^^ i'm gonna try soul eater and shifter's shield next game to see what happens, I'll let you know About the spells : puu.sh/Bag02/df98153c0a.png

Effect Phoenix no, u want to pick your 3 for jungle clear and movement speed cause u won't be fighting anyone until ur lvl 2. Also its better to lvl your 2 over ur 1 because its more reliable plus better burst. Ur not a mage and ur poke damage is garbage, ur supposed to get in and use all ur abilities then get out. U won't hurt anybody poking them and ur just making it easier for the enemies cause they know where u are and have no gank potential cause ur in lane thinking ur a mage.

Pele guild (shortened) lvl 3 first clear jungle super quick after that get your 1 then lvl 3 again and lvl 2 when your level 4 after that it’s whatever you want, build assassins blessing because pele is only a jungler (she can’t be played in other roles just jungle is by far her best) Next would be warriors any other boots is wrong and a dps lose, then crusher, transcendence, jotunn’s, soul eater then Magis blessing. No other build needed as you would have blink beads as relics blink so you can get it to a team fight without using your ult then magi’s will soak any cc plus the fact you’ll have beads so if they have more hard or soft cc it doesn’t matter and even then if your about to die you can ult out. No need to confuse other people and no need for other items because if they do have healers your mid, supp, or solo will build antiheal that can be applied much more easily than a pele trying to attack just 1 person in a team fight that will only apply when she uses her 1,2 or ult

Sometimes I get it when I go the shield build when I play solo. The slow from frostbound and the ult hurts, and allows your burst to get off cooldown to use it again.

Idk what Phoenix's deal with Soul Eater and Shifters is, especially the part about not getting value from lifesteal doesn't make any sense unless you're against an antiheal comp. I've ran all 3 items in one build (though this was on the first pts version) and it worked pretty well. Basic attack items on the other hand don't do all too much for her, yeah.

It doens't work, when you use your ult, your next 3 basics are actually exchanged with ability damage, so it's not basic attacks anymore and you don't have value from their passives.

Would you consider leveling her ultimate, if not every physical god had 100% scaling on their basic attacks? Also I just hope that IF people use Soul Eater a lot on her, HiRez won't nerf the item, but her passive instead. Something like SWK + Bluestone Pendant nerf, but the other way around.

Back when I played LoL, Shyvana was primarily top, but I'm assuming she'd still be played bruiser in jungle. In that case, Pele is actually one of the closest picks in terms of playstyle. If you go for a bruiser Pele build, focusing on shields etc., you'll soak up a lot of dmg while consistently dealing damage, partially as aoe.

I started smite earlier today so I've been grinding all day figuring it out, you're videos were by far the most helpful for me, so thank you! Are you sure she is cc immune in her ult? Played against her as serq and my ult stopped her ult (i was supp, she wasnt going for me). Maybe she hit me while i was on top of her but it looked like I just stopped her.

Yeah, just verified with a few gods in jungle practice. She is CC immune to for example Cerberus ult, Nox root and Nox silence (when dashing through, not when starting in it). I suspect it was actually down to Serqet's model colliding with hers during the ult, which will stop her ult immediately.

It may work if you snowball, but most likely you will get blown before reaching 40% of your health. You need defense in order to have time to use your passive(aka use skills) so you won't get bursted that quickly. I mean crit builds don't really have any room for defense. But i really like the idea of AA/Crit Pele. In duel (1v1 scenarios) she might be able to be played as a AA.

She seems really bursty at the moment, they will probably nerf her move speed of the 3 (from 60% to 40%) and maybe increase the cd of the 1 (from 14 to 16 or remove a charge and decrease the cooldown)

I think she will need nerfs. Her passive is too strong in solo, her 1 has absurd scalings when you can fully utilize it in a high CC comp, her 3 is still VERY fast BUT at the same time they have to be careful with her nerfs. She's very easy to shut down, so in a way she has to be a bit overwhelming, similar to Ne Zha (pre-buff) or Anubis.

I honestly feel like I’m the only one who plays her tank (of course, I play primarily Clash, Arena, and Siege, so that kinda says a lot...). She gets huge sustain with her passive if you’re able to utilize it, but she’s too squishy to use it well with full damage. So I build max CDR with Soul Eater and Gladiator’s Shield, along with a bunch of prots and Titan’s Bane to finish. I’ve seen that I never run out of mana with the Glad’s Shield proc, I can sit in the middle of a team fight for a lot longer from the extra sustain (therefore utilizing the 2 a ton more as well as hitting more people to proc her passive multiple times), and I can still dish out enough damage to finish a semi-low hp squishy with an ult and a bit of follow up. Of course, building her damage would probably be better, but I’ve had decent success with defense nonetheless.
