Finally. A guy that plays like me. It could only be a pretty old guy. We both finally figured out it is a lot more convenient to let the 2 and 4th fingers stay in the box, and keep that 1st finger for 1 behind the box. You get a lot of benefits that way. You don't have to move your hand around as much. You always have that first finger loaded and ready to go. Plus, you get more fine tune control from your bending and inflections with the pinky, rather than the 3rd finger which is too bulky and lifts up the whole string, when you usually don't want to pick up the whole string. That little pinky can bend it with a twist action that lets you get funky. It lets you get into tight places. So now there are 2 of us that play like that.

Why do you have so many Strats? Do they all have different sounds?

I have over 100 guitars, and the only reason I have that many is that they all sound different. I own many brands including Fender, Gibson, Epiphone, Yamaha, Ibanez, BC Rich, Schecter, Samick, Squier, Cordoba, Ovation, Olympia, Martin, First Act, Morris, Lotus, Washburn and many others.
