Nice useful guide thanks, btw I have retroarches installed across my Cabs etc and I only like the `Ugly Grey` interface ha ha ha, have found it much easier to mentally navigate when I have been configuring all sorts of stuff in the past and because I use frontend menu systems then I don`t see it unless I need to tinker with something, cheers

I hope I can get some sort of response, but I did everything correctly, but when I load my game, its plays and I hear audio but my screen is black. And when I press F1 to open quick menu its shows a small portion of it on the bottom left hand side lol I'm not sure what the issue is and I cant figure this out. I don't know if EmuVR has anything to do with it because I do use that sometimes too, I didn't think it would matter since I'm not running retroarch thru EmuVR, but the PS2 games work perfectly fine on EmuVR so I honestly do not know what's causing this black screen. All I want to do is play my games without launching EmuVR lol 😅

Had the same issue, fixed it by doing this - go to Settings > Directories and make sure System/BIOS is set to your Retroarch\System folder. Within this folder, you need to copy your "pcsx2" folder with the appropriate bios files. After this to check if everything is working, go to Settings > Core > Manage Core > LRPS2, scroll down to the Firmware section. It should read (!) Present, Required: 'pcsx2/bios' folder. If you followed all the instructions in this video, it should work properly.

I don't get it. The official site page says lrps2 works independently from pcsx2. You DON'T need pcsx2 at all. They are a separate team; separate emulators. The only same thing is their folder structure. And you only need the bios folder.

Is it true you cannot copy data from retro arch gaming on a windows laptop to retro arch installed on a Chromebook or tablet? Is it also true you can play retro arch emulator offline as long as you saved the data while online? Same for multiplaying? Can it handle major games like Minecraft and GTA? Also install mods on some games?

I have a strange problem, when i try to run a game it plays normaly, but when i want to play a second game it doesn't run it, it only shows a black screen. I leave retroarch, enter it(retroarch) again and try to play the second game that didn't play and it worked, it was playing normaly. I then select the first game and it didn't work only with the black screen again. So tl;dr it went vise versa. I don't have such problem with my gamecube,wii and ps1 games so its something with the ps2 core and i did everything in the video

I'm not trying to put it in retro arch I'm just trying to open it but These are my issues please help. The only option i get for windows is v.1.7.5421. x64 the file is called pcsx2-qt there is nothing after qt. I use 7zip to extract but i get These prompts i get The code execution can not proceed VCRUNTIME140_1.dll was not found and MSVCP140_2.dll was not found. It says reinstall but that doesn't do anything.

i tried to update my pcsx2 to version 1.7.0 the latest nightly one by coping pasting pcsx2 newest folder into the old one i had into the retroarch system folder! Im using launchbox as a front end , and in launchbox under pcsx2 emulator i updated the path of retroarch/system/pcsx2-qt.exe the new nightly version as the default ps2 emulator , but when i oppened any ps2 game with launchbox it just openes with the old pcsx2 emulator via retroarch and not the nightly , i can tell because when i open burnout 3 takedown there is still black sky , while in the lates nightly pcsx2 build black sky has been fixed !! how can i make retroarch and launcbox use the new nightly version of pcsx2 pls help
