To anyone having a issue finding the retro arch folder a good tip is to find the folder that was last modified and click the folder and look through the folders and you should see config cheats and more that's how i found it

For those that don't have retroarch in the file name just look at the last modified date and go based off that. I used winscp since i use ssh for work but for those unfamiliar follow the guide

@@TeknoBlast My Xbox is the Series X. I've just dropped some games onto a USB and I've been trying those. Unfortunately, with minimal success. Although Spyhunter 1 and 2 work well, NFS Most Wanted Black Edition was slow and stuttery, and The Simpsons Hit and Run wouldn't start at all. I'm not sure if this is a Retroarch or ISO issue, but I did have the same issue when trying to play these games via Retroarch on my PC.

Seems to have worked well, I can load up the core and get to the start menu of 2 different games. Both of which freeze or crash at that time. Maybe just need to try other games but if anyone has a fix let me know. For reference the games are the Simpson’s game and spiderman 2.

Sucks that this no longer works… wanted to play some old ps2 games. Like nfs underground and stuff like that. Guess I’ll have to just buy a ps2 and hopefully find copies of the games I’m looking for. Would just emulate on pc. But I don’t have the money for that so. Can’t do that.

I feel your pain, money always seems to be the main issue. I was emulating on my laptop with actual dvd games in a disc drive until the motherboard fried. I also have three ps2 consoles but all three have an issue or two and are uncompatible with eachother, the problem with two of them are the disc drives, which im just sick and tired of replacing.

I've been trying to get ps2 working on ps4, even though retroarch says it's installed... I can't get it to show up. I've noticed that the installer installs cores as a .self file while installing from within retroarch (regardless of core) installs a .dll core. Any solutions?

Yeah, there is a way to make it wide screen, but it doesnt improve for a lot of the games. It's more try and if you like the way it looks, then good. Im just guessing here because I cant actually see whats going on with your system, but if you open up the FTP client on the Xbox, there's a checkbox that says allow anonymous. That box should have a check in it. Hopefully that helps.

Lots of the games on Xbox one, one s and x will lag and stagger, I had that issue too. I played crazy taxi and Matt Hoffman BMX on GameCube and those didn't lag. If you really want to play the games, i suggest series s and x.

@@aq8712 because the cpu of xbox one x is too weak to do ps2 emulation,the only way is to upgrade to a xbox series x or s as they have powerful cpus and can run all games jsut fine upscaled to 4k at that.

It's not specific to Xbox platform. I did it on my Xbox One X because in case I screwed up, I wouldnt care of the One X was bricked, but would care if my Series console did get bricked. It's more of a comfort thing for me, but this can be performed on both the One X and Series consoles.

I actually made another video where you can store the games on a USB drive and not have it stored on the Xbox itself. As for limit, I have no idea since I just started with this at the time of the video.

@Eduardo Lara The limit RetroArch claims for games is 30 gb. WARNING: if you delete RetroArch without properly deleting the games, you will have "ghost space" (those 30 gbs will be unusable). Best way to do it is to use a USB pen drive, in my view. A 64 gb pen drive or better can host the PS2 BIOS and plenty of games. Some BIOS also don't need to be transferred. RetroArch can automatically update PSP BIOS, for example.

I did find a Rugby 05 but turned out to be some executable file, which I was not going to try out. Dont know what would be extracted. I have not used this emulator but it most likely has a thing called frame skipping it skips a few frames so it is less load to the console

@@MrNeftali1990 just FYI. When it comes to game files, the video will show you where to store them. But I also made a new video where you can store the game files in a simple USB thumb drive. Way easier to download games and store them on a thumb drive rather than storing the games on the actual system internal drive.
