This video just popped up in my feed. I'm in the same boat...so I just subscribed, created a folder, downloaded and liked all of your full length foders. Keep up the good work. Since I'm starting to play again the timing is right to get in on the ground floor with a weekly instructor so to speak.

You didn’t mention one of the Spark Amps from Positive Grid. They are small, inexpensive and awesome. There are so many things you can do with the Spark app. To me, it’s the very best amp for a beginner (or anyone). These practice amps get pretty loud and sound amazing. You can’t go wrong.

@allaboutguitaracademy17 күн бұрын
Thank you! Yes, the Floyd Rose keeps the axe in tune and I’ve dive bombed with it several times. I do need to adjust the fine tuners now though, normal part of using a Floyd rose. Highly recommend the Alex Lifeson LP👍🏻🎸 thanks for watching!

Hey Bob I've struggled for 4 years trying to learn to play guitar, but at best I'm only a beginner. I learned some from Guitar Tricks, which eventually got too difficult for me, Guitar Control, Guitar Jam, private lessons at Guitar Center and with an instructor online. I am 65 years old, have Carpal Tunnel in both wrists, nerve damage in my fingers, hands, wrists, and arms. Had my right Rotator Cuff done twice, my left is also fairly shot, been through 5 spine surgeries, one three level fusion in my neck, and have lived on pain meds for decades. And I have ADHD, to some extent. ( I will not be tested ) So, maybe I should throw in the towel......... just can't seem to get the nerve to Any thoughts

Thanks for sharing your story! It's inspiring to see your determination, and I'm confident that with practice and patience, you can achieve your goals. By the way, you should visit my website and order my free ebook AND the Fast Track Guitar course. I created the book and course because I had personally suffered severe injuries to my wrists and hands in 2021 and re-learned how to play by using easy 2 finger chords and then worked up from there. It really helped me! Go to allaboutguitaracademy.com and get those resources. Or, just stay tuned for more videos, but DON'T GIVE UP!

Man oh man I’m so glad the yt algorithm’s popped you my way, I’m 55 yo, I’ve been a beginner for about 8 years,, Naw just joshin around,, but I have recently according to everything I’ve researched gotten to the intermediate road block I have heard so much about,, Where I’m tired of the same old same ol. But I have no teacher well I think I do now,, But i don’t have any theory knowledge so I don’t know where to go from here,,, at my age and skill level I’m certain slash don’t have to worry about being unemployed,,, but I do want to get as good as I can for myself if nothing else,, I’ve always loved music and use it everyday for one reason or another, anyhow I’ll quit rambling,, Let’s rock,😮

Hello there, I'm 66 and I brought a Wildcat Epiphone with everything on it, and I use a Marshall amp COC50 with. What do you think about it for playing everything with it and the the amp?
@allaboutguitaracademyКүн бұрын
I love the Wildcat design with the Bigsby Tremelo. I’ve never played one but I’m sure it’s a GREAT guitar and beautiful too! 👍🏼😃🎸 as far as the Marshall CODE50, I’ve heard it played before in coffee shop and small gig environments, it’s a great studio/practice amp too with a lot of digital enhancements 👍🏼 thanks for joining our community here, my friend!

I'm a beginner, so what makes your E5 power chord different from a regular Em? Also, can you show what your Amp. is dialed in to? Great video!
@allaboutguitaracademy9 күн бұрын
Hello and welcome! Great questions, check the next Rock 🎸 video (lesson 2) and you’ll see my amp settings at the beginning of the video. Also, the difference between E5 and Em is that E5 is played using one finger, only playing strings 6, 5, and 4. Em is played using two fingers and playing all 6 strings. Thanks!
