I'm 71 and grew up in Arleta California. Johnny Burnette lived on Gullo Ave., nearly directly behind our home. I remember as a kid, playing on Gullo Ave., some kids got excited when Johnny Burnette drove by in his new Cadillac. I still remember even as a kid thinking this guy must have come into some money. The neighborhood wasn't wonderful, kind of lower middle class. My brother went to school with Johnny's son Rocky and I believe they were in the same grade. I play guitar and the most fun music for me to play in my retirement and advanced years is a kind of Rockabilly Boogie. Kind of a mix of Canned Heat, ZZ Top, Alvin Lee "I'm Goin Home".
