Although this is a Cornell solo song, one of the things that made Soundgarden music so special was that the weird tunings Chris (or Ben) chose obliged him to also traverse totally unusual melodic vocal passages. His late albums solo albums were much predictable, and the song level decreased a lot because he started using much more conventional tunings, even the standard tuning most of the time. That affected the whole song, but especially his vocal melodies, which in his best times were among the best ever composed.

Love the video . I think stopping to describe strumming hinders the continuity. I know why you're doing it but if someone wants to play this song and can't figure out how to strum they should probably stay in standard tuning and play Peaceful Easy Feeling all day. Thanks, hard to find a cookie cutter approach to teaching, I get as many comments saying “put strumming patterns in tab” so I tend to just call them out for certain parts. I try and keep the lessons as inclusive as poss but without too much guff! Thanks for the sub!

Ok, in your tutorial on "the Day I Tried to Live " you showed that the tuning was eebbbb with a note later that it was eebbbe...so this is the same tuning a half step up. In his acoustic shows, he paired the two songs and played them in them both in the same tuning.
