Hi Marco ,this is the best explanations i ever find online .Breaking up bar by bar with slow tempo and clear explanation how to play. Bravo ! I wish you have time to do the whole book or at least solo 132 please.Thanks in advance.

Oh thanks a lot, Michael! I’m very glad that you found it useful. It’s all about having the right approach and method! It’s easier to learn something if you break it up in smaller bits and practice them separately very slowly analysing your motions 🙂 I hope I’ll have time soon to record some more videos 😉

Complimenti! Finalmente qualcuno che insegna questi esercizi e non, come tutti, fa solo vedere che li sa fare! Bravo!

Hey Marco, I thought you did a fantastic job. I really appreciate all the time you put in the video going bar by bar and breaking down the rolls. I was having trouble figuring out the timing but with your explanation and at 60 bpm I got it down now. Thank you so much. You’re and excellent teacher.

I originally thought in bar 4, the doubles with the left hand were no part of the 7 stroke roll, so I played a drag followed by six 32nd note triplets (RLLRRL). Seeing how it is actually played makes it much easier for me. 😀Thanks for the video!

The way the 7 stroke roll is written it starts on the & and has a drag Infront of it but that's not how you are playing it , you seem to be playing it as "e&e" doubled ......when a 7 stroke roll starts on the & it's actually played to the pulse of a doubled 16th note triplet
@mattdeluca992 ай бұрын
I was thinking the same. If it was a 7 stroke roll, wouldn’t wrist strokes be: “1 & ta ta 2 & ta ta”? But then the sticking wouldn’t be right- because you would start and end roll on different hands - and that’s not what’s notated. Or is it notated such that the drag is intended to add two strokes to a regular 5 stroke making a “7 stroke” roll?

Video is very helpfull But I suggest to split the easier version from the original one so everyone could focus on what they are intrested in. Thanks anyway :)
