Even her ultimate struggles to kill tanks. She is a dive counter as well as a back line diver with her Ult, where she can easily eliminate squishies hiding behind their backline. Absolutely none of her kit is suited to busting tanks.

Bro I love Storm & she’s my main dps but she def needs a buff to her numbers. The fact it takes 9 shots to kill a squishy and 11 shots to kill a tank is insane and she doesn’t crit. Mantis kills in 2 head shots as a support. Justice for Storm

@seanapel3544 A buff is needed because her design is unintuitive which is why she is so unpopular. A buff does not need to be damage but that is the most obvious change as most players use her like Ironman because there is very little sense in playing a flier near the ground. Perhaps the term buff is wrong, a redesign would be more accurate.

In my opinion I believe Storm should be in the strategist category. Increase the aura buff to her team mate and give her and ice storm ability to slow and freeze enemies. Support doesn’t have to always mean heal she would be perfect for it.

10:04 And more important than aura right here is keeping an eye on ult. Your reasoning later on for why you used your ult when half your team was dead is flawed, because the push had already failed. You are much better off using your ult right here as soon as it is available to take out 2 to 3 of them so that its only a 6 v 3 when pushing that corner. You want to use Storms ult to CREATE that supremacy, especially when approaching those critical deadlock locations at checkpoints. People may not respect Storm overall as a hero, but her ult puckers sphincters, she causes absolute havoc and panic in enemy backlines.

Most of the time the speed aura itself isn't enough to save allies, its only 8% for them and 16% for Storm. 8% is very situationally advantageous like staying out of or in melee range for/of a diver, but even then they have gap closers. At 5:23 you switch to Tornado and Groot catches Dagger at 5:27, so Tornado let him gain LoS 0.32 seconds faster. Unless you just happen to know he was at max range, then you can't really assert that he wouldn't have caught up. The boost it gave to you was definitely noticeable, and probably allowed you to catch that corner shot before you lose LoS. Goddess boosted tornado is a big deal, but the default 8% for allies just isn't something to hype up especially when its only in a 15m spherical radius of Storm. Its sort of self-defeating when it boosts storm twice as much as allies, which will make you leave them behind and they'll fall out of that tiny 15m spherical radius especially if you have any elevation.

Positioning, awareness, ability usage. These are things I focus on with every character, because my aim sucks. And I'm able to do pretty decently off just those. Yeah, Psylocke's ult works kind of like Kharazim's Seven-Sided Strike in Heroes of the Storm, for anyone who has played that. Basically there are times you definitely want to get out of it, but there are times where jumping into it can save an ally by spreading the damage out. Hers appears to do 150 damage a hit over 4 seconds, 2 hits a second, prioritizing enemies that have been hit the least.

I had someone yesterday in Grandmaster 1 try to ditto my Storm pick, and they played her like a phrarah and we literally just ignored her the entire time. The devs did not intend for her to be in the sky, her dmg falloff starts at 15 meters and her aura is a 15 meter spherical radius. I encountered a massive bug on console, (maybe on pc too, idk) If you rearrange the X, Square, Circle, or Triangle, button in control settings You permanently lose the combat functionality of the corresponding button. I accidentally remapped the X (jump) to a call-out and now i can't jump This bug affects all characters and is permanent!!! Interesting, because I wanted to move her ascend to lb(top left bumper) and descend to Lt (bottom left bumper) but when her descend is on LT the bottom doesn’t work at all. I have it opposite now which is a complete pain as LB is my jump on every game I play

I think Stom is very interesting, I think she deserves some buffs, damage and increasing her life, in my view I think that her purpose is to protect the backline and buff the team, it's a type of dps very different from the classic "shoot and kill "we need more antidive dps on the game as well.

The more I see folks figuring out Storm's role as a backline defender, the more I'm thinking they need to switch her to a Vanguard or Strategist with heavy CC because she clearly isn't a damage dealer. In either case, she currently requires too much effort to get any value out of her compared to other heroes with better designed kits.

@tehcupcakes6868 After seeing how Starlord plays best by Ult charging off tanks, I put two and two together. Storm has piercing primary attacks, so I wondered if she is designed to be played the same way given how potent her Ult is for clearing objectives or hitting the backline. And surely enough, this method proves to be very effective. You use her flying to line up your shots to pass through as many targets as possible, reserve her damage boost to protect supports being dived using the auto-hit lightning strike and just farm Ult charge on tanks when you cannot line up multiple opponents. So much like how Wolverine has to be played a very specific way, it seems Ororo is intended to focus on charging her Ult. In that case I'd say her Ult needs to be easier to charge because by comparison Starlord can get it more than twice per round if done correctly while Storm will struggle to get it twice.

Okay while I do think storm is not terrrible, and she can benefit her team a lot, in game with Hawkeyes, hela, Winter soldiers, etc. I think she could benefit from some buffs. But more so than buffs….. I just want her kit to be more “storm” like. Like she’s a weather godess. But only controls lighting and wind? Idk, I just wanna see her do more. Maybe add another “ice aura” for damage reduction, and change her lighting bolt ability to match what her current aura is. Change the one in lighting form to chain/ or change it to a beam of lighting she can hold. In wind the ability could do a knock back wind gust, and in ice it could be like, a cold wind gust that freezes. Like idk,give her some love, some character have like 10 abilities. Storm has 3 lol

Realistically she only has two abilities. A lightning bolt and a button to temporarily buff her auras. Her auras despite having a toggle are essentially passive abilities. Her team up with Thor should be in the base kit and teaming up with him should give Thor an extra ability, maybe a slightly stronger lightning bolt on a 25-30 second cooldown

I don't see why storm would not become hard meta in a few weeks. Lucio has been meta since 2016 for his speed aura so storm will probably be as well. The numbers are quite different though, storm is 8/20% while Lucio is 25/60%. But any amount of bonus speed is valuable I think. On top of that the damage aura sounds a lot better than Lucio's healing aura because it gives your team an ult advantage which is extremely valuable at any level of play. Also she has movement slow on enemies, difficult to predict how useful this will be in organized play

I’ve been saying Storm isnt as bad as people think… I’ve seen people say she’s the worst character in the game which is just insaneee imo. People always say she can’t get kills or her dmg is too low but I’ve found you actually can get a decent amount of kills and dmg on her. Also a team comp that is BUSTEEDDD with her is Dr.Strange, Hulk, Ironman, and Storm +2 healers. In a game with no Hela or Hawkeye, you can stomp harddd with that team. It’s just perfectly balanced between Offense and Defense. Those 3 are already strong af together but Storm just boosts them even more it’s nastyyy. Will be interesting to see her team up with Johnny!

Make Storm a strategist! Instead of healing she can get an ability that uplifts her team with an ability on a 10 second cool down that gives an 100 health shield to everyone. Keep her speed and damage buff, high damage ult stays and make her basic attacks 3 exchangable basic attacks which are thunder, ice and air that can alternate like Black Widow with a 3 second cool down between changing. Thunder does D.O.T damage and chain lighting that hits for 50 per hit with 25 chain lighting every consecutive hit which equals 75 to the main intial target and 25 to everyone in a 20 unit radius of main target, ice which slows the main target hit by 10 percent per hit max 50 percent that hits for 50, 60, 70, 85, 100 (after every consecutive hit, the more slow applied the more damage is done, with a cap of 100 per hit at 50 percent slow)After 3 seconds of no hit, slow gradually goes away from 50 40 30 20 10 unless hit again, to which slow is applied again and air which gradually decreases all damage output of main target by 10 20 30 40 50 percent, capping at 50 percent which will make a great counter to snipers and hawkeye, that way she can be a strategist that is all about debuffs and buffing with some damage potential with her ult and her chain lighting basic attack. That way she can be the leader she is known for while being all about uplifting her team and debuffing the enemy team.

And making a strategist with no heals is a terrible idea that was tried in overwatch and failed miserably. Controller really is barely a hinderance to aiming. I’ve hit gm in overwatch and pred in apex and gm3 in this game. Try playing higher sensitivity, i play max sense on most games 500/500 linear because imo its similar to overwatch so 180ing is important.

Rivals puts you on way too low of a base sensitivity, imo you should not be playing lower than 300 with a linear response curve
