a lot to learn? i found the game extremely basic compared to starcraft 2. not to say that i'm great at it, but as far as jumping on for the first time it looks way easier to learn than sc2 was

I love pacing of this game. Slow enough to create a ton space for micro, and quick enough to create interesting gameplay. Also road from early game to mid game is very good compared to SC2 where early game feels too short and players almost jump into mid game

I really want the coop mode to succeed, I love playing it in SC2. I know it's just the first hero character but the one we have right now is just some guy. I want some crazy heroes that change everything like in SC2. I want to play an alien slug that changes every unit you have in some way and can turn them into gigantic brutalisks and leviathans. I want to play some zombie guy that has zombie buildings that produce a horde of zombies.

I think the last point Pig mentioned is very important. The mindset about the game status! I found so many players ingame stating "this race is totally broken and imbalance, how can you play it?". We are in a state where not even all tech, units and not to say the next race are known. There is no meaning in crying for more balance now. I would also advide to learn the mechanics, build orders and prepare for the future.

You should be able to use the overcharge at the beginning to build the berreks and supply building and should have enough of a charge to do it again with the centrial command(tho i forget if the cool down is quick enough)

Great Teacher PiG. Lernt SC II from you (thanks for that) and thats looks solid as well! What do you think about fast expansion? Expansion first with 6 overcharged Bobs? So you get a huge economy boost and you can marco out just more stuff. Would love to see how you would approach this strategie 🙂

Easy way to reduce the timing is to be more specific to the number of units you build. I have always preferred a more precise army composition. I would probably try 4 Lancers and 6 Exos.

You can also upgrade the supply buildings to accelerate nearby structures.

Great video! I feel like it could be usefull to explain difference beetwen standard macro and simplyfied macro panel. Also I think it's worth noticing that simplyfied macro probably fits Infernals much better, as they do not use power building, so you lose much less using only that.

When you build a new building from the Q options. So not telling a worker you already have selected. My question is how do you know what working is being pulled to build it. I think that’s why you had few bobs on the mine than you thought.

I'm not sure how it chooses which BOB in that scenario, but they will return to whatever they were doing afterwards. I personally prefer to almost always manually pull the workers off and build structures and click back to mining just so I can easily keep track of where my mining is up to

so you can block the ramp by putting the racks and the supply at the bottom of it. I was doing the opposite LOL. is it better to put the second Command center like that instead of in between the therium and luminite?

My walloffs kinda suck so best to study some pros to really make sure you've got it right especially on different maps. Generally putting them in the middle of the ramp seems to be the best to wall it off. With Infernal you want the Shrine between the two resources. However for Vanguard you can build a scrapyard next to the therium later when you want to mine from it. It's even worth building one in your main as it massively speeds up the mining

The game was promised to be friendly to newcomers but is far away from that. Invest a lot of hours to simply lose. Some videos, including yours, helped me to lose not as much as quickly. Therefore I decided to quit the game. Takes too much time to get into it. You guys enjoy it! :D

Unfortunately early days of an early access are generally a bit random in terms of skill of matchups. I think co-op will be the more chill place to learn the fundamentals of the game (though I haven't played it much so not sure how developed it is) - I did hear some people say they'd already played 10+ hours and really enjoyed it. Generally speaking if you're a lower skilled RTS player at the start of a game like this you might need to drop 300-800MMR to actually consistently have similarly skilled opponents. Not suggesting you throw games but it's just the nature of match making systems figuring out where thousands of players fit into the ladder that there's a huge variance in match results.

Nice one. Unfortunatelly I didn`t get a beta account to play on my own. But the main thing I keep in mind is that "space bar" is the new "F2". That is all I must know as an platinum SC2 noob. And macro > micro, as usual. stutter steps work as it is currently in SC2 too. So I think for a player that is used to SC2 it will be just a small change towards stormgate.

they're not cost efficient for barracks production, though it is a super fast way of boosting your production. Definitely not necesary for a brand new player to focus on for the marginal gain though. You can optimise by always placing your habitats next to your production and then choose to switch them on whenever you can use the production buff

It's early beta so you're gonna play a crazy mix of players right now. As your MMR drops and you play players who are actually around your level this should be a pretty solid basis. If you've got the build really settled into your muscle memory you can start dog harassing as well, or skipping the turret and building 3 lancers and start taking the resources camps for an extra boost

I think it was actually announced as being available via GeForce Now if you want to play on the Mac. Also, since it runs on unreal I bet you could get it running with Whisky and GPTK.

1:24 speaking of distraction, why they dont make the command center just automatcly produce the bobs neded to saturate the mineral patch, like is´nt this a game for new comers that know nothing about rts, expading the rts to the general public, and yet we continue to have to do annoying repetive task, whats the problem with making that automatic >:(, worse for coop, people problaby want to watch and command the fights, not having to press the goffy button of the bobs >:( ,imagine that u get into a game and they tell u, "each five seconds u have to press this button and this button else YOU LOSE", pls fix ;)

It's every 20 seconds and you can always queue them up. There's always the decision to not build workers and focus on aggression, or keep building workers and really focus on your economy. They definitely could have made it a toggle on/off but personally I find it's way more chill than worker production in SC2 and feels like a nice middle ground. What makes RTS games great is that there's so much creative expression in how you choose to allocate your attention. So there's always a different way to play the game in your own way and prioritise what you want to focus on in the game

Have you played it? I’ve been pleasantly surprised how good it feels to play. I don’t think the pro scene will be as exciting as sc2, and i hope I’m wrong about that, but the game is really fun to play. Give it a shot during open beta this week :)
